Well thank you vendor for welcoming us new vendors. Now, I would like to hear what kinds of stuff people like to buy there. I have lots of things I need to get rid of from my house plus my mother's house, who just passed away a couple months ago. But I'm really not sure what kind of things sale better.

It is a place where you can sometimes find hard to find items and some antiques and lots of things that are low priced even some new stuff that would be way cheaper than wal mart or other main retailers. It is a great place to go to find a bargan.

I went in there today and saw that some vendors are putting out Halloween decorations and costumes. Some vendors are putting out Christmas decorations also.

There is a sign on the door that clearly reads "NO PURSES LARGER THAN THIS"....so people shouldn't be taken by surprise. If theiving wasn't such a huge problem around here...they wouldn't have to do this. But how many times have you seen someone walking through walmart and slipping stuff in their diaper bag. I have on many occasions.

I agree, it is to easy for people to steal things, I almost never carry my purse in but even when I do I always open it up and let them look inside on my own, I do not care because I have nothing to hide, the ones that complain I think they are the theves, why else would they care. I have had a few things taken and it makes me mad, us venders have to work hard to have our items there and I would confront any one I saw stealing, so yes the venders watch for theves too.

Couldn't agree more! If I am out sick, the ladies working there are great about picking up my booth! I have had stolen and even worse, I have had people go in and intentionally break stuff! I work hard everyday, most of the time if someone makes a reasonable offer, I will even give a discount. Just don't steal it!:)

I just left the vendors mall, and I racked up on Christmas decorations. I just moved to a bigger place and wanted more decorations this year. I found alot of new and vintage decorations over there. I was really suprised at all the vendors that has Christmas decorations out already. So if anyone out there is looking for Christmas decorations, go there first, they have really good prices too.

Your rights as a customer
As a customer entering a shop, you have rights when it comes to bag checking. They are: •You have the right to know before entry that a shop conducts bag checks. Signage must be clearly displayed at the entrance/s to the shop. •Store personnel are only allowed to look in your bag; they are not allowed to touch the contents of your bag. However, if you are asked to remove an object in your bag so they can see inside properly you are expected to cooperate. •Personal handbags the size of a sheet of A4 paper or smaller should not be checked, unless the shopkeeper is certain the handbag contains goods from that shop which have not been paid for. •A shopkeeper is only allowed to detain you and call the police in situations where they are sure an offence has been committed.
Your responsibilities as a customer
Although you have rights as a customer, you must also be aware of the guidelines that exist to protect the shopkeeper. They are: •By entering a shop which has clearly displayed signs that bag checks are conducted, you accept the shopkeeper’s right to ask you to open your bags for checking. •The shopkeeper’s right to check your bags also includes checking cartons, parcels or any other container you are carrying that could reasonably conceal goods. •If you refuse to allow shop staff to check your bags you can be asked to leave the shop and not return.

I had a booth at the Williamsburg Vendors Mall for a year. I had things stolen from me all of the time. So yes there is plenty to steal and I lost a lot of valuable items to theifs. Also the sign on the door clearly reads if your purse is bigger than the square on it they can check it. So why get mad about it. You know it before you go in.

There used to be a sign that said"if your purse is bigger than this don't bring it in or we will check in it as you leave" be familiar with what surrounds you... These people are protecting the people selling the stuff . If I was paying someplace 75 dollars or more a month to sell my stuff I sure wouldn't want them to let people steal me blind...just go by the rules and you will not have problems out of anyone there!

Yeah, I've had stuff stolen too. I had a pair of infant shoes stolen a few months ago, they tore the tag off and left it laying on the shelf. So they brought a child in with no shoes on, and left with shoes on the child. I would give someone anything I had, if they didn't have money, but don't steal from me. It was a pair of Nikes, only had $6.50 on them, and they had not been worn that much, still looked very good. So what did that teach that child? And everyone wants to know what is wrong with people/young er generation. Now when I put shoes over there, I only put one in my booth. They have to ask for the mate at the desk.
