He was voted in by the parents and teachers. He is the switch in the but these kids needed. Kids actually were accountable. I feel like we actually have lost since he is in circuit. I hate that he won't be dealing with the kids any more he genuinely cared and set them on the good road. Dan for President!

Dan Ballou is not in IRAQ, period! If he is, there would have been a big writeup in the paper about the newly elected Judge going off to War. He is somewhere close by that allows him to come home on weekends, etc. I heard he spent Easter with this family like the rest of us. he is collecting Judge pay and military pay. I take nothing away from people serving our country, but you better believe he knew when he was running for circuit that he wouldn't be around to serve. If people knew that when he was running that he wasnt gonna be around they mightve voted different. if we wanted that old fart winchester we'd have asked him not to retire. so he fills in for his pal who is not in IRAQ, but wants people to believe he is. I'm not saying being away from family isnt a sacrifice, but lets not blow it all out of proportion, people.

Judge Ballou IS in Iraq, period!!! There WAS a big write up in the paper “about the newly elected Judge going off to war”. You obviously don’t get out very much. I wish he was somewhere close by because I, along with his family and friends miss him very much. You obviously have nothing better to do but to sit and run your mouth about people you know absolutely NOTHING about and be disrespectful to them and their service to our country and community. MY husband is serving our country in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS in Iraq. Before he left the country, he had to go through several months of training to prepare for his mission and he was fortunate enough to be able to come home on occasion. You did get one thing right in your comment. He was able to come home on Easter weekend and spend that time with his family….”like the rest of us”. Unlike the rest of us, he left two days later for Iraq. Now, HE IS IN IRAQ!!! He is serving his country because he loves America! He, along with many other military men and women are making a great sacrifice EVERYDAY to ensure YOUR freedom! He left the country, leaving behind his family, friends and his seat on the bench and yes, that is a sacrifice! He’s done if before, he’s doing it now and he would do it again! That is Dan Ballou!!! He is “walking his talk”, as I like to tell him. I love him and I am proud of him! I am thankful to all who serve our country and you should be too. He left behind his son and three beautiful step-daughters, who adore him! His son, our son, our Demspey, is not in good health and never has been. But I will tell you one thing, if Dempsey was in good health and was able to, he’d find out who you are and kick your ass for saying what you have about his daddy!

You are an example of all that is going wrong with this country. You sit comfortabley behind your computer and dish out your brand of ignorance because your a coward who is not serving our country and never has and does not have the gumption to confront this man or any of his supporters. So continue your obviously politically motivated rant against one of the finest public servants this county knows (look at the results from the last election jack ass) and pick on his innocent family if it makes you feel big little man. His family sitting by and reading your selfish spew and suffering. You flipping coward how much of a person does it take to pick on a wife, some little girls who probabley watched mommy cry over your stupidity and an ill child. Hope you feel good about your self you damn gossip terrorist. Go pick on someone your own size. The only thing you know is self service and self richeousness. I shouldn't have even reckognized your garbage with a response. God bless America,Our troops,Dan Ballou and his brave family HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RAAAAAAAAAAAA!.

What kind of person would say things negative about a man serving his country? You are in our prayers Ballou family the majority of this county spoke their opinion about Mr. Ballou in the election. This is obviously someone our brave Judge made do push ups. May God grant you comfort during this difficult time.

What a sad thing to say about someone, You are in major need of an adjustment. I am very proud of Mr Ballou. I very much resent the negetive statements about him. I am very empressed with him, and his obligation to our country and to God. I for one know that he is a just man. And have seen him in action. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I have family members in Iraq, and every day I pray god brings them home to me, anybody that makes judgments as you have makes me worry more about America, thats why Mr Ballou has to go help protect sorry human beings of your nature, but to protect the good I guess you have to take the good and the and the ugly.

hello? Can you people read? Gettealpeople didn't say anything more than dan ballou wasn't in Iraq and if you read his wife says he wasn't---until two days after Easter so getreal was right but didn't get the "press release" that he left. Also what's so wrong with saying that people might have voted differently if they knew he wasn't gonna be here? I voted for him, but I thought I was getting a judge who was going to be here instead of jerry w? You all make it out like getreal is some America hater and factually what getreal said was true up until a couple of weeks ago? Why so angry about something that was true? Fact is is he's been around even according to his own wife? Then it turns into an imagined insult about his sick kid? Thats stretching it even for bill o reilly wannabe hooraaa

Yeah wonder why nobody answers the question how long did dan know he was leaving and why not tell people that when he was out campaigning

By the way bash me all you like like you did the other people whovdared to express an opinion i could care less. Its a valid question that people wanna know and dan ballou is out fighting for my right to ask it. So if you argue against me exercising my right as an american well good folks you dishonor dan and all that he fights for, dont ya?

Shame on you. And oh yeah answer the question you america hating question stiflers

getrealpeople and da burg must have hit a nerve. All they did in my opinion is ask a question. And if there ain't nothing fishy about it then why is everyone so touchy? Seems a little overkill to go nuts on people for asking. Angie Ballou and HooRaa and Teacher Mom need to chill. There was no slur or insult to Ballou or his family. No need to threaten to kick anyones ass. Hardly civilized I would say.

I read what get getrealpeople had to say about Judge Ballou and it offended me. He did more than just ask a question. He was saying negative comments about someone who is not even in country to defend himself. He said that Judge Ballou was not in Iraq period!!! That is not true and has not been true for what sounds like about at least two weeks. He then said that Judge Ballou wants people to believe his it in Iraq, but really he is not there. Sounds like a "personal problem here"! He also said that that Judge Ballou knew he wouldn't be here to serve or something like that. Well, God willing, Judge Ballou will be here to serve. We are just going to have to wait a little while (not sure how long?) He is serving in both areas! How great is that? Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred him be on the bench in November, but I think he is definitely worth the wait!!!

I respect what he has done for our Country.

I don't respect however, his way of dealing with the public.
