There is nothing wrong with riding a fourwheeler while pregnant. You must not be able to afford one or are one of these people that sit around and find something to complain about. Find something better to do with your time my children love fourwheelers yes they both have one and we have a blast. I drove one when I was pregnant and I asked the dr he said that was fine some people know how to drive them.

Are some of you trying to insinuate that a pregnant female should have restrictions placed against her or subsequently be faced with child endangerment charges if she doesn't comply??

My childbearing days are over, but let me tell you something: If I wanted to go horseback riding when I was pregnant, I did, but that didn't mean I was going to jump rails or run barrel races.. If I wanted to go trail riding, I did it. Riding my Harley? Yep, I did it. Rode right up until it got too uncomfortable to be much fun any more.

My Grandmother walked probably a hundred plus miles behind a mule and a plow back in her day. Tilled the garden up until the births of my Father and each of his siblings consecutively. She also toted a bucket of coal or two into the house every single day, butchered any animals they needed for food, rode her horse to town and kept the house and clothing clean for their 7 children while Grandaddy was in the coal mines working.. She chopped wood. When the well was getting too low, she carried buckets of water from the stream for cooking, bathing, laundry and cleaning..

Keeping our noses out of another persons business can be a full time job. More people need to learn how to police their own lives..

Please don't take "Tiff's" advice,, DO NOT ride when your pregnant no matter the speed or level of the terrain,,
Accidents happen on all typs of ground at all types of speeds..
What kind of GOOD mother would take a risk like that..
Duh.. and the scared feeling you get is called intuition follow that.. most people wouldn't take the risk of impaleing there unborn fetus with handle bars of an atv..
Obvisouly she isn't the brightest crayon in the box if she's reproducing at age 5.. ohh 15 whatever.. same
Here's Some real Advice,, follow your o.b's instructions.. don't think you know it all, because you don't, he or she went to med school.. you did not..

How does riding around on a four wheeler make you healthy?
You really need to think things through before you post on here or you will just look stupid again.
Actually I'm quite in shape from riding my four wheeler every weekend. You might need to do some thinking. It involves full body movement and works a lot of muscles you never knew you had.

All of you are absolutely ridiculous.. Just because a pregnant woman hops on a quad does not mean they are out on some extreme course going off jumps or doing some outrageous bumpy course. I ride in 1st gear on the beach side by side with my 6 year old so he can enjoy his quad still. No bumps, no speed.. Your an absolute idiot if you think that's going to cause a miscarriage. Maybe pregnant women shouldn't ride in a car! God firbid you hit a pot hole or speed bump wrong! There is NO difference in a quad on flat surface or a car on flat surface. If you flip a quad going that slow your an absolute moron. There are far more dangers in the everyday world with much higher statistics. You all sound a little too angry for something that's none of your business.

I was looking things up on google because I am 6 weeks pregnant and cannot believe the amount of stupid remarks people put on these sites!! My god, someone asks if they can do something because they are obviously concerned enough to want to know and you people go off on her?! Can someone tell me how you are being helpful in any way. People like you should have your Internet rights taken away and sent back to school to learn manners, grammar and common sense. I live in an area where there is a lot of snow and miles of farm land that is not accessible by car or truck and I will HAVE to use an ATV just to go to the store, so for the women on here telling me I am a horrible mom for doing a necessary action, and one that is not wholly bad if you are careful by the way, well you ladies can seriously kiss my ass. I have never been so disgusted in my life, I hope some of you look back at your words and feel ashamed, ashamed that instead of trying to be a decent human being and answer a pregnant woman's question, a question she was asking BEFORE she went out and did it, you decided to get on your high horse and bitch and degrade her instead. I hope you feel smug and happy with yourselves because I'm sure you managed to make several women cry and feel guilty and ashamed for to good reason. Oh and by the by I am an OB NP and actually know what I am talking about. The fact is of course riding anything Could be deemed unsafe, including your car with its seatbelts and airbags, but as long as a woman is careful and aware that she is responsible for the life inside her she will be fine. For thousands of years woman have been horseback riding, boating, running, hiking, plowing fields, digging in the garden, hunting and slaughtering animals for food, and our race survived. Have a good day ladies and for woman hoping to find REAL answers I hope you ignore the rude and unhelpful comments above and go to a different site like thebump where woman are more informed and enlightened.

My goodness people! Unfit mother? No education? All that because she was riding a four wheeler ? Everyone is so quick to judge other people and so quick to hate one another. Remember the measure you take judging someone is the same measure God will take to judge you when you are standing in front of him. I think judging someone and hating someone based on one thing they do is way worse than her riding a four wheeler pregnant. Chill out. Unless she's carrying your child its none of your business. She will have to answer for all that she has done one day and so will everyone else. And I don't think riding a four wheeler while pregnant is going to send her to hell. But not loving one another and acting like that will. If people would mind their own business and not be so negative all the time this would be such a better place to live.

The reason you're not suppose to go on rides and roller coasters is because the jerking motion may potentially cause the placenta to separate from the uterine wall, among other serious complications. 4 Wheeling doesn't have a jerking motion, therefore it's unfair to say it's "immature and selfish" to ride. I'm not saying it goes without risk, but if you're a safe driver and use common sense (safe speed, no rough terrain, no jumps) then I don't see why you should deny yourself the fun. You still drive a car while you're pregnant, and like you said, you wear a seat belt. Which cuts right across the baby and in an event of an accident could be a very serious hazard. It doesn't matter if your car has airbags and doors, it's still not safe for you, or your baby in the event of an accident.
