i have known wayne byrd since high school. and i don't think he would lie and make up a fictious story about someone breaking the law. as far as i am concerned i think the boy is guilty.and his mother probably put him up to it. because she probably knows the prisoner.i have been told the whole cox family are crooks. and her older sister is in trouble with the irs. for falsifying income tax records.

I would like to know, Why, if five people lost their job at the Whitley County Detention Center, at the same time. Within the same week. Why did only one, Joe Partin, have to go through the court system? If five were let go for the same or similar reasons, why weren't they all prosecuted??? Welcome to Whitley County and their BS politics.

how can the Whitley County Detention Center fire an employee for being seen with a former employee? This is a big joke, but it is not funny to the families who are suffering due to loss of wages. it continues to be a fact that the 'little" people continue to get screwed by the politics.

Ken Mobley and the jailers aren't prisoners. When Jerry Taylor was jailer, before he took is Alford Plea, the prisoners acted like they were on vacation. I'm glad somebody in Law Enforcement around here takes their job serious.

A Tobacco free facility means tobacco free for everyone. it doesn't mean only the prisoners can't have tobacco. ken mobley made the jail tobacco free. this was his decision. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The same rules should apply for everyone, not just the inmates.

Me too. The jail was so nasty they had to clean the locks because there was so much cigarette smoke in them. Jerry Taylor practically ruined that brand new jail. I agree about the prisoner's being on vacation. Ken Mobley has those prisoners out picking up trash at least. Jerry Taylor quit doing that a long time ago. Ken if you read this YOU ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB THERE AT THAT JAIL. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!

No I don't think he smokes in his office. I have always seen him smoking outside. As I said in another comment, when Ken took that jail over, the locks were so covered in smoke that had to clean them before they could use them. They also had to paint the walls in a brand new jail, that is a disgrace.
