My husband was in the parade...well my boyfriend at the time. We just got married a month ago, and he deploys in March (trip #2!). My husband and I have known one another since 6th grade, we grew up together and were high school sweethearts. And I think I speak for every military wife, girlfriend, or fiance when I say my man is my hero. A military family is the strongest of the strongest, RATTLECATTLE, and nothing you say or think can ever break that. To those who read this dont listen to the horrible crap this guy says. its just that, crap! And let him talk shit about those fighting for his right to look down on them. because in the end we know in our hearts that our troops are brave amazing heros. And this little boy could never come close to feeling the love, support, and admiration we have for our soldiers...that must suck for him ya know. But just keep your head up and ill keep you and yours in my prayers as well.

It does NOT matter how courageous our troops are! Don't you GET anything?

Germany and Japan had courageous troops as well...THEY LOST and died for the blunders of their nations leaders.

Well darlin' atleast they are standing for something. Not everyone goes about things in the right way, but atleast they are tyring something. As you said we are facing and dealing death, and each soldier is proud to give their lives for a cause. If you dont stand for something then youll fall for anything. And Yes i know my husband could die at anytime, which is why i believe and know how precious life is. I lost my grandfather to lung cancer, and my cousin to drunk driving in the same month (a week to the day apart) then the next month I had to watch my grandma pull the plug on my great uncle. I know how precious life is and to never take it for granted. and instead of hurting peoples feelings and knocking them down, why dont you start appreciating what you have. appreciate the fact that yea things are a mess but you have people that love you and care for you. you get up every morning and get to see the sunshine and can make a choice of what you want to do each and every day. Stop wasting your life dragging others down and build yourself and your loved ones up darlin.

Let me tell you something mr. know it all. I live 5 minutes from Ft. carson. I grew up for 20 years half an hour from Ft. campbell. I lived near military my whole life. almost half my friends and family are in the service. so if you think i dont know how many soldiers take their own lives your wrong. if you think i dont know how many people just from ft carson alone your wrong. they splash it all over the front page EVERYDAY. you have no idea what its like to watch your loved ones who have been to war grieve over a lost soldier. and i know probably more about this war than you do hun because unlike you i've been around it personally my whole life. What interests me the most is how hostile and angry and mean you are about all this. Why is that? was someone in your family in the military? maybe you lost a loved one? whatever the case there is no reason to be so bitter.
