Horrible analysis in this article. The average sales tax paid may be $1925, but certainly not the median.$1925 comes out to $32,083 in TAXABLE spending. Considering that the median household income in Indiana is about $43k PRE TAX, it is horribly illogical to think this represents the typical household. How many of you folks spend $616 PER WEEK on taxable items (not counting health care, housing, food, etc...)???

This was a very poorly researched article and should be retracted.

Seriously? Where is the improvement? Other than you like his party better. He is just another yahoo. Doing for Indiana what the did for the Federal Government, the problem is Indiana is not allowed to run the ridiculous deficits he created while running the Bush budget.

Oh, that's right. In the minds of most folks there is only the conventional left/right, Republican/Democrat way of thinking. Please do accept my apology for not making it clearer.

Daniels is a marginal improvement over Kernan in the way that gangrene is better than the plague. Credit to Daniels for making the non-fundamental improvements, such as selling useless assets such as helicopters. Shame on him for not finding the stones to cut budgets by a measley 2% or so, or eliminating a department or two.

I'm not a fan of the Republican Party. I'm a fan of smaller government, so I couldn't possibly be a fan of the Republican Party. They haven't delivered on that in ages. I'll at least give credit to Democrats in that most of them make no bones about wanting to expand the size and scope of government.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Virgo

The world is your oyster. There isn't anyone you're afraid to talk to or any situation you're afraid to place yourself in. The word 'extrovert' must have been coined just to describe you. You're the master of time at the moment, cutting through red tape and getting right to the heart of the matter. If you use the right words, you can make anyone see your point of view, even if they don't agree.
