I would have thought that if people were not moving but staying put, they would be more inclined to fix up and spruce up and therefore poeple would want new stuff.

Most people I know get the house first and worry about new furniture sometime down the road.

Another fine example of the Star's reporting! The mother (obviously pregnant) and her other child pictured both with different last names! So I guess the Star and Haverty's are trying to promote un-wed mothers! Ironic in view of the major increases in property taxes of which many millions go to support un-wed, single mothers!

The name "Harlem" used to featured much more prominently in their name, but no one wanted to go due the negative connotation, so they added "the room place." People in Northwest Indiana aren't fooled though, they still sell crap. I don't see how they stay in business, their lots up there never look busy.

True story.

I still think that Kittle's Outlet store in Fishers is hard to beat. Great furniture @ good prices.

Okay - did you notice that there was 2 or 3 furniture stores that went out of business - can we say - switch and bait! They want tax cuts and now they are getting them. Yippy!

Hey Indy888 I guess you'd feel really bad if Elle's father had been killed in Iraq and her mother had remarried.
Never realized there were so many judgmental people in Indianapolis
Nobody shops at Target or buys items on sale, you know like all those under class people!
