All home invasions should be met with deadly force! Your home should be the absolute last line of defense. That includes DEA break-ins as well.

Professor Gates would most probably agree with you.

And why did Stanley Lowe resign as housing authority director in the first place, it must be better than most patronage jobs in the city ?

But he and Officer Crowley did get their respective fifteen minutes of fame, a private White House tour for themselves and their families, and a couple of beers for their trouble. And I wasn't impressed with any of their tastes in beer.

Only 'cause Obama went off script with the "stupidly" comment. The neat thing was how the media trashed the citizen who called the incident in, in the first place. The defense of Obama is so over the top that the "crying wolf" syndrome has been breached and the little bit of credibility that the media had, is now gone. It'll be cute to watch just how long their allegiance will last. I know that none of them will admit to making a bad call last election but how long will the adoration and the "shaky legs" last?

I've got to agree that Obama "stupidly" went off message at the press conference in commenting on the incident; but I hardly think the media "sprang" to his defense, nor "trashed" the 911 caller.. your bias is showing there a bit, old man. And don't forget the alternatives in the last election were Blinky & Winky, and Blinky's choice of Winky won the moderates for Obama. Palin was so patently unqualified for the job that it brought McCain's suitability into question. And the sorry Bush-Cheney "legacy" will serve the Democrats well, at least for the forseeable future.

Any reason the DEA specifically would be coming to your house?
Order a set of Grow-lights and have them delivered. You will probably get to meet a couple of interesting young men. I have no idea why? But, nonetheless. Guilty until proven innocent?

That's the primary occupational hazard of the right wing-nut conspiracy theorist, old man: paranoia.
