They could start being safe by obeying the traffic laws. Stopping at red lights would be a good place to start. Staying off the sidewalks would be nice. Stop weaving in and out of stopped traffic, hold your lane on the streets, we all live with the pot holes not our fault that your vehicle is not built for the rigors of Pittsburgh. How about paying a license fee? How's Ravenstahl gonna' catch you with his red light cameras if you don't have a plate? C'mon, Pittsburgh, at least make it fair. Most of these cyclists are from out of the city proper anyhow. Go get 'em.

Aaaah, you too old, too lame, too out-of-shape and just plain too lazy to cycle anywhere, old man. And if you ever did, you'd exhibit that ol' geezer's sense-of-entitlement that'd get you greased even more quickly!

I prepaid my dues, junior. Only sayin' It's only fair that these cyclists pay something for the use of the roads, the use of the sidewalks, the privilege of not stopping at trffcic signs or red lights, parking any where or chaining up any where. They seem to think they are an elite class. And, now, give them four feet of space on a road that they don't pay to ride on? WTF. And, of course, they whine like little babies if any of this is mentioned.

Junior? I was drafted, sonny, so that should give you an idea of my age! And what the heck are "prepaid" dues? Talk about a sense of entitlement! By the way, I don't disagree with your assessment of many cyclists rudeness or outright illegal behavior, or your assertion they need to pay up for access to the roads, though many, if not most cyclists on primary roadways probably have driver's licenses and many own vehicles. I just don't think it should be a capital offense, eh, old man?
