So everyone on here knows, Old Politician is the Chief and he also uses many other names on here to defend himself (which btw he never really has done even a poor job at that)
He comes on here giving himself a pat on the back saying ""Good for you Dean you have been loyal to the Boro for years and at low pay !!!!""
Well, now the 9 IDIOTS on council give this guy approximately a 100K a year compensation package for a town that's almost bankrupt ! Nice job eh??
When you break it down on his salary, taxes, health care take home care and other items with sick days and holidays etc. that's what it comes in at.
Imagine a town of 4800 residents (mostly low income) with 3 sq. miles and almost broke giving out a compensation package of 100K for a Police Chief.
I could understand it completely if they had advertised the position, tested for it and had every applicant do a physical agility and a medical exam.
Now I ask, how many applicants do you think would have applied for this 100k a year compensation package with an education and training and maybe even prior Chief experience??
This LUMP of a Chief has NO education, NO management experience and has NO real experience period. He couldn't pass a written police exam, agility test, medical exam or an oral exam. Well, I may be wrong with the oral because he must have done a lot of "oral" on some of the council to get this contract !!
Not only is this LUMP a "poor" police officer at best, these Idiots give him a Chief's job with a compensation package worth 100k a year.
I think there's a lot of questions needing asked to this council.
1) What qualifications were required to become Chief
2) Was this position budgeted for 2012 and if so, what was cut to afford this position
3) Wouldn't council want the best and most qualified person for the position?
4) I'm sure council followed legal guidelines with hiring, but this doesn't mean hiring "The Village Idiot".
5) How do you justify paying the ex chief 26k a year in salary and now give this LUMP 48K base pay plus all the benefits and a pension?
6) With a contract Chief, you can hire outside the dept and not have to give a pension, so why do it this way?
There's many questions than this that the 9 IDIOTS may have to answer and justify especially now.
This council should have thought about the residents over nepotism. This is a large amount of money to put a "Village Idiot" in a management position without ANY education or training whatsoever.
I have to assume the entire police budget is about 200k a year. With that, this council could have contracted a "real" police dept to cover NB and could have abolished their current PD. It's inevitable that it's going to come down to it !

I honestly feel if a news media would investigate this hiring and it's shown truly how much this compensation package really is worth and shown how they hired the Village Idiot into this position without any education and NO experience in management or even classes for it... It wouldn't look so good for all concerned.
We all know the old adage : " Move em up before you move em out" ....
Enjoy yourself for as long as you can LUMP because it's a two year contract and many things can happen in two years. When this gravy train ends for you, you won't have a job part time or otherwise and then we'll see where you end up working. May be pretty embarrassing leaving a Chiefs job and can't even get a security job because of being so Obese.
You better save your money, you're gonna need it!!
