...because they have to teach our children and turn them from the worst of the worst to something that passes for a useful citizen. The parents sure cant do it.

Do not fire the teachers, but unconditional vouchers for all students.

Uh.....it's "lame-o"......there is no such word as "lameo"...buy yourself a dictionary.

Do yourself a favor and look into the retention practices of unions. Whether you are a great teacher or a crappy one, you are protected.

And that aint right.

Anyways, my comment wasn't about unions, it was about bad students that result from bad parenting.\

Do yourself a favor and also buy a CLUE. LOL

But based on reports released by school districts, at least 10 failed to AYP targets in 2012. The list includes three that missed it in 2011 -- Duquesne, McKeesport Area and Sto-Rox -- and seven that made their targets in 2011 -- Bethel Park, Clairton, Keystone Oaks, North Hills, Pittsburgh, Steel Valley and West Mifflin Area. One other district -- Woodland Hills -- that missed its targets in 2011 made them this time.

Build more schools,,,,they will educate them! LMAO!

Anytime you say "100%" of anything you create problems.

The mandate that 100% of all kids pass etc is unreachable...and in the process to do so, they have dumbed down the whole system, and the scores reflect that.

Parental involvement is directly responsible for this.

Proof?

Look at Francis McClure's and WOE numbers. They were both exemplary school.

When they co-mingled the kids from the other schools the scores dropped.
