McKeesport Area and two other Allegheny County school districts, Sto-Rox and Wilkinsburg, did not make adequate yearly progress -- known as AYP -- under the federal No Child Left Behind Act, based on math and reading tests, attendance or graduation.

Mckeesport has left many children behind in the so-called educational system. There is a large means of "ecuse making" when failures are found. Actually, there is a lack of caring, consideration, and appropriate behaviors toward children and education. Blaming the populace is a clear example of exuse making. Mckeesport simply does not cut the grade, and as result of lack of care of the young whom are taught in the Mckeesport schools, the results are minimal or lacking as older adults.

Mckeesport however does reach the top crime levels, reason for the $640,000 hiring new police only government funding as a result.

The statistice fit together quite well on all matters of importance to the city populace. The attitude is carried out in public amiong others, and in the businesses where excuses become a predominant factor in dealing with others and for businesses, the customers. There is a can't do or we won't do attitude, and excuses are made to further discourage patronage. As for the others, in public they try to be first, due in large fact by the average or below average feelings of non support passed down through the very teachers. The results of the low scores come out in behaviors that are predominant within the local society, leaving anger, resentment, and ill will towards others in society, neighborhoods, and among others if any should attain businesses in spirte of the low scores of educational results found here within the article.

For every cause, there is a equal effect, some manage to overcome by having a attitude they adopt from motivational teachers. But because most is a loss, what can the few highly worthy teachers do?

Mckeesport at the current time is not the best of places to live. Why not move, because people need to attempt to effect change, to make a difference, even at some level, That is the positive attitude not understood by many. Some asking people why they dont move is to say they do not want "change," they actually want to act and do more of the same, below standards.

Your choice.

Change is on its way this December. The MASD voters voted to the MASD board a former school teacher's union president.

When this person is on the board a coalition could be formed by this person to support higher pay and more teachers and more schools. Our student’s achievement scores should skyrocket. For the union, more pay is the only solution to overcome under achievement by our students.

See - sometimes voters do get what they seek!

This should raise the bar for Propel and they will exceed the bar. Now this is the changed you asked for and got it.
