We all have questions as to why this is happening, we all have our answers. But it has been my observations that we have been, for too long, too lax on enforcement. We allow people to park anywhere they want, people walk in the middle of the street and do not move,(I have seen the police allow this), trash being thrown in plain view of the police, etc. You all probably have seen this and more! We need to get tougher. If you allow the little things to go, people just take it to the next level because they believe nothing will be done about it. It will not be easy, but we need to do something now!!!

agree, police cant be everywhere, but there needs to be someone tough someone in charge in this town, if you run a strict enforced town you scare the criminal you run them out if you harass them enough, its done in other towns

This is a sad tragedy indeed. However before jumping to concluions on the Police please review the other threads and see how the residents treat th police when thy try to be tough which they nee to be in NB its a warzone and anyone who doesnt see that is a fool. I know they were tough on my street which was a haven for drugs and guns thy came in didnt take any crap, politics, name dropping arrested everyone and shut it all down and its never been more peacefull.

You mean to tell me that no one heard the shots?! No one saw kids running in the street?! The police are not always to blame people. I'm sure they couldn't have heard the shots from 1st ward.

I'm not trying to be funny, but when I lived there and I heard shots I ducked....really was not hanging my head out the window trying to see who's doing the shooting.

First of all the police station is in 2nd ward not 1st. The police need to start patrolling more often instead of their vehicles being parked at the station. If they see kids in groups they need to break them up instead of the kids loitering all over the place. A curfew needs to be enforced in the town also. Start giving the kids citations and if they're not paid let them do community service.
It's a shame North Braddock use to be such a nice neighborhood until section 8 came into the community.

I meant the police could not have heard the shots if they were in 1st ward. Probably not even from 2nd ward. How hard is it to pick up a phone and call the police when you hear gun shots?
