Sadly to say, this scum-hole would not be able to remain in business unless there weren't enough scumbags to purchase the merchandise. Simple mathematics. So much for the "Clean small town image"! I can't help but think of the "WE BARE ALL" nude dancing bar at the exit ramp for Micanopy. What a landmark for people to associate their community with! There's never any shortage of customers for places like these. It's called the "Price of supply and demand"

Score another one for the scum of the earth. I pray that the sheriff's office can find some other means to shut this scourge down.

If I lived in that community I'd simply set up "around the clock" folks with cameras and just simply take pictures of every customer that came an went from that establishment. No violence or name calling, just snapshots with a flash attachment and record the tag numbers as they leave. Most creeps that wheel and deal in that kind of stuff don't usually like to be seen entering or leaving places of that caliber. It hurts their image with the wife and kids! Also not a good thing in a divorce court when the wife is going for child support and alimony! Just a thought!

Everyone walks the moral high ground; but let's face it: the porn industry generates more money in one year than the TV and (non-adult) motion-picture industry combined. There are many people out there who want this stuff, yet few people openly admit to wanting it. Raids like this are a waste of taxpayer dollars, much like raids of strip clubs.

if you dont like the material in the store dont go in there. i get tired of people trying to project their morals on others. i think people should be allowed to do what they want as long as they arent hurting someone else.

you all act like the only people buying porn are lowlife scums. just look at the size of the porn business, it's in the billions of dollars. i hate to burst your moral bubble, but most of the people buying porn are probably your neighbors.
take a look over the years at all the church leaders that have been caught with porn or prostitutes. or even all the catholic priests that have been caught molesting kids.
seems to me, the churches have their own morality problems to deal with than to worry about what movie or tape i am buying.

Mr Webb, You have great points to your argument and I tip my hat to you, It wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar business with out the vast number of customers that get their jollies wathing other children, adults, and animals getting their jollies. It is even a bigger amazement to me the true statement you said about the circles of Christendom where pastors, youth directors, deacons, choir directors and yes priest and alter boys too are wrapped up in this quagmire of self-indulgences of the sexual kind! This just goes to show the overwheming degradation and degenerate state our society is in today and no one wants their "rights"hendered and be allowed to wallow in this debasement of the mind without being infringed upon. Personally, if you want this stuff, go for it, but why do these places always want to set up shop right in the middle of a small hometown community town, as a "in your face" type statement. There is also the internet where you can buy anything and everything the sorbid mind can conjure up, Of course if you are a Pediphile you are going to end up in jail hopefully. I don't know why, that would be infringing on his rights too wouldn't it?Rights have never been there for people to do what ever they wanted to.That's "Anarchy"!

Hypocrites are all over the world and the biggest ones are usually the first to say porn is bad. I love seing naked women, I go to strip clubs and look at magazines and books about s&* and n%ked women and my gosh I have known a number of women who eve liked using toys. The difference between me and the hypocrites is I see nothing wrong about saying that. If a women wants to take off her clothes and pose nude or have s#$ and take pictures cool beans. Who are you to tell people what is right or wrong. If you need to say three ahil mary's every 15 minutes because of your impure thoughts maybe you should just admit what a hypocrite your are. Give the people their stock back. After all it's the same stuff you have been ordering online you know.

Sorry lady but you are just plain ignorant. You stating "children, adults, and animals" and then "Pedophile" in reference to a XXX store is absurd. Same as saying since one priest molested a child then they all do it. What about if some couple wants to experiment a little bit? Do you have a problem with that? What about the people who have a problem with what you do? Just because you feel one way doesn't make you right. Your choice is not to go to the store. Your choice is not to make my or any one else's choice for them. One time out loud - America!!!

"Pornography is like pollution to the soul," the Rev. Craig Attaway, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Wildwood, said at the time. "It absolutely has a negative impact on marriages and families."

If these churches were serious about promoting healthy marriages that would teach prospective newlyweds about managing household finances and how to pleasure each other in the bedroom - lack of knowledge about either is the main reason for divorce in this country...

How do you know that "these churches" are not teaching about finances and sex? Have you attended a good bible teaching church lately. Christians are people just like you. We feel the same temptations as everyone else. Just because I have accepted Jesus as my savior does not mean I am not tempted. Some Christians give in to these temptations and that usually ends up in disgrace. Nothing good can come out of pornography. It is not therapy, it is not recreation, it is victimization and sickness. These types of stores do not belong in our neighborhoods. I do not think that the government or its agents should be shutting them down, I believe that it is up to the community to do something about it. The local churches should be leading the way.
