Eddie was a very close friend to me and many others. he was a kind loving guy who would do anything for his friends or family. my heart hurts for his whole family, that a life that had so much more was taken away due to careless driving. my prayers are with him and his father.

I am continually amazed by the ignorance of others. i am sure the man driving the car did not wake up on tueday morning intending to take the lives of two other people. I don;t know who you are or what would motivate you to write such an evil remark. I do know however that karma finds it way to everyone. This was an accident--a very tragic accident--have some mercy on all of those unvolved. The driver of that car will never be the same again, a wqoman lost her son and husband--2 souls died that day and the best you can come up with is jail him! You are evil~

I also knew these two men, Elba is a great and very close friend of mine. Louie and Eddie were such wonderful men. Tragedies like this are so preventable. It isn't mentioned in the article, but Eddie had a baby and Louie had 6 other sons/stepsons. But I hope some good can come out of this by getting some new laws in place regarding safety for workers. Louie and Eddie, you will be missed terribly :( To WelfareAintwhatItUsedToB, don't just assume these men were here illegally, because they weren't. You don't know anything about them or the family, so don't assume they were even on welfare. They were great men who worked hard to support their families. You are cruel and heartless. I agree there are way too many illegal people in our country taking what should rightfully go to American citizens instead, but have a heart. Illegal people also have families and feelings. They are still human, and still fel the same pain that the rest of us feel. One can only hope your family also suffers a tragedy like this so you can feel the pain that they are feeling right now. I'm ashamed that my country allows people like you to live in it. I'll take illegal immigrants anyday over those like you.

Eddie IS the father of my 15 month old great nephew Giovanni Jimenez. Eddie's and his father's death has shocked and sadden my whole family, especially Giovanni's mother. Whenever I look or think about Giovanni I start to cry realizing because of some who wasnt paying attention took the father of that little boy. Now he has to grow up only hearing stories and seeing pictures of his daddy, he will never know his dad. What I dont understand is in one of the articles it said the driver did not see the semi in the right lane, how can you NOT see a huge truck next to you? My prayers go out to Eddie and Luis family, but my heart breaks for Giovanni who will never really know his daddy.

I pray for the family of the father and son that lost their lives due to an accident. My prayers are also with the husband and wife in the car that accidentally hit these men. I know they are suffering terribly. May God watch over all of them and they get through the next few months a little easier. May they rely on the Lord for their comfort and protection.

I am devastated by this story. I was Eddie's Scoutmaster. He and my sons were in grade school together. When I knew him, he was a good boy. And a very special young man. Smart, funny with so much promise... I have only fond memories of the Jimenez's... both he and his brother... I remember the pride in his mother's eyes when he was in scouting... Over the years I have lost touch with the family as life does goes on, but to hear this story has done nothing but sadden me tonite. My thoughts and prayers go out the Jimenez family....

I'd like to thank everyone who have sent their regards and prayers to our family. Eddie is my nephew and Louis my brother in law. We are all aching due to this great loss to our family. It still is very unreal and painful. My response to the MI Commentor: To you it may have been "An accident" because you did not lose the people you love. You did not lose a father, a son, a brother, a newphew or a friend. But there will be justice, every dog has his day. I pray that the good lord shines his good graces on us who are suffering and make the deserving pay. In order to save a few minutes of his life, this 77 year old man ended the life of my nephew and brother in law. I hope that he doesn't sleep at night thinking of his actions. This was no "accident" it was neglegence.

Wow through the Lords Grace I will continue to pray for the family in this time of mourning,Today in this life we really do not know when our calling is to come due to going to Work in Sanitation as a driver or as a helper, not only Police officers, nor those whom are out their serving our County today, what ever kind of duties that you serve, hug your family kiss them before they leave for the day and always Praise God for given them another day to do the Lords Will for His Will and traveling mercies shall be done for the loved ones this day not in our will but in the Lord's Will. Please before you even say a good night make sure all your strife is over, and say good night with a great kiss hug, for you never know when it is the last and we do not want that last moment to affect us as we arise and the other is no more. Try to care for each other more no matter how stubborn one can be, just continue to love them for whom they are, leave them alone for a bit till their storms pass away, And praise God for Both of your very testful days. always pray for those who leaves your door For todays Work Load they may not be no more, Today we never know when it is the last, When the Lord calls them to the lambs book of life, or to their testing stages of eternal strife. We have had a wonderful time together, here on this earth, I am looking forward to spending more time in eternity and we shall meet again. Wow to those who does not understand. Make sure you always hug and make sure you always spend more time at hand no matter what the jobs may be, The next time you may see them may be in eternity. This is an eye opener to each and every soul, To please have faith each day as you go, For each job that we do today is a task, Did I spend the last moments with my loved ones in joy or was it a test. Please everyone who has breath I speak for all the loved ones who has lost a soul or two as they left their home and heard the last I love you, Make sure you always never go to sleep with a hardened heart, Always Praise God for each and every time spent even though due to their jobs that they may do only has you to spend a few due to their days work they only have one hour to spend before their day is at rest, spend those times together just as you would in a joyful happiness for today you never know, Is this the last, I do pray for each and every family member or loved ones who has left due to a Job. Folks if you were the last moments in storm do not blame it on your selves let all of those thoughts just be washed away into the Seas and just have those happiest memories just as you feel the gentle breeze. Let all those troubles go and let it be just a mist. have the best thoughts until you see them again. Life,Work, We never know the walk of the Journeys end.
