Pat the Plumber Pricing

Have anyone here ever used Pat the Plumber? My mother liven in Beverly Hills, FL and recently used them to repair a leaky toilet. The plumber presented her with different options and she chose to have the toilet rebuilt. Total bill....$341. I think that's outrageous!!! It only took the plumber about one hour to do the task, but they will be quick to point out that they don't work by the hour.

I feel this is definitely a practice of taking advantage of a person in a vulnerable situation. Here, in Atlanta, I contacted Sundial Plumbing, and they told me they would charge $149.60 for the same job. That's more in line with what I would expect. Of course, if I were closer, I could have done it for less than $20 for everything from Home Depot, but that just wasn't an option.

I have contacted the company and I am amazed at their arrogance and their pricing.

Has anyone else had dealings with Pat the Plumber?

Thank you,
