It is so easy for you all to blame someone who can't be here to defend herself. Unless you were in her shoes you all have no idea what she was thinking or why she responded the way she did. You don't know what advice she was given by the FBI or any lawyers. I am not saying that she had nothing to do with it but I am saying that it is unfair for eveyone to slander her publicly before it has actually been proven that she was responsible. Her whole life is being exposed to the whole world. Remember the saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" I am sure every last one of you has made dumb mistakes in your life, some a lot worse than she has, so would you like to have all that exposed because your child has had something happen to him/her? Imagine how hard that would be to live with ontop of not knowing where your baby is. There was also a rumour where her grandparents lived that the baby had been found dead in a garbage can. Maybe she also heard that rumour and that is why she did it. Who knows!!! Just give the law the chance to do their job and prove what really happened and hopefully find this little boy, Don't condemn her before anything has been proven just because she made mistakes or maybe had a tough life.
Errrr, it isn't about her it's about the little boy.

Her life was in shambles. From documentation of Police and Child Welfare Services we have concluded she was deeply mentally disturbed. Why no one went to her aid, stayed with her, talked to her, consoled her we do not know, perhaps she would not hear of it, but she does not deserve our concern nor our empathy, it is that lovely little boy that is of concern. If you read other murdered chidren's profiles you will see that Melinda's story is not much different than theirs. We are beginning, not yet fully but beginning to run out of hope for little Trenton. Our actions have not come to the inconsevible conclusion that Melinda did. She was a true coward, sick perhaps but a coward none the less.

She was a person too!! She had feelings as well and she is dead. Of course our concern should be for Trenton. It is too late for her. I read a lot more posts discussing her and everyone's conclusions about her actions and her feelings then I do about Trenton. So maybe some of you should stop gossiping and get out there and help find him.

You may be right private, but in our eyes, Melinda is not a person she is a baby killer. Until Trenton is found safe and sound we will feel that way about her. Mother of 5 beautiful children and home to many more...

I personally blame Melinda's parents to some extent. They shipped her down here when she was 17. When their grandson came up missing they didn't even come to Florida until she committed suicide. Now they are all over the place blaming everyone they can. Her suicide note and all her answers from day one were vague. Very few details to get caught up on. She died before they could show her proven facts of where she was that day. Her greatest fear was looking bad to the public. She thought she would get sympathy. I hope and pray to God every day Trenton is found. That we are all wrong about her, but when from day one she told a pack of lies about her whereabouts, I do not hold out much hope. If she was not guilty of something she would not of lied from the start. I just laid my 2 yr old grandson down for a nap. While looking at him I thought of Trenton. How could anyone threaten his life? Put a knife to his neck? Hold him upside down and violently shake him? Use him to get anything?? I have tried to think otherwise of Melinda and one day I kinda thought-maybe... But now I think she did it and didn't even have the decency to admit in her suicide note. Poor Trenton and the Hell with her parents and anyone who had the chance to teach her to be a decent human being. I wish so much she would have lived to have to face what she has done.

Well obviously none of you can wait till justice proves what really happened and no voice of reason can change your tunnel visioned views. I have four kids too and can not imagine ever hurting them, but truth is right now you are all speculating. I hope Trenton is found safe and sound and it comes out that she had absolutely nothing to do with it. Then you can all sit in your judgement seat and feel like a bunch of idiots. If she did do something, well then she deserves whatever you have to say about her. Till I know for sure that she is guilty, I am not going to be guilty of casting stones.

She is already guilty of being a coward.
You have 4 children, could you harm yourself before you knew your children were ok? You are right about judging her, but who cares she is dead by her own hands, we only care about the safety and welfare of Trenton.

If she did kill her son then she deserves to die and she helped everyone by doing it herself. I read all these others and they are right if she hadn't done something to her little boy than she wouldn't have killed herself because she would be begging for his safe return to her. How any mother could do something to her shild is beyond me. I have no kids of my own but I have three nephews and one neice and I know that something like that would happen to one of them I would be searching high and low for them and nothing would stop me. I sure wouldn't kill myself.......She's guilty....I hope that they find little Trenton safe...But they probably won't with it being this long a time since he came up missing.

Tried to do a PodCast today. Everything was going along fine until the subject of Trenton came up. Things went downhill from there. PodCasts should be fun and not ladened with such heavy and sad burdens. Yea, we kind of take it personal when children are harmed. My PodCast partner said Melinda took Trenton out and shot him. He did not state this coldly, only factually.
I want to wish Josh allot of love and support for what he is about to do. He has taken his search to New York so he can spread the word about Trenton's disapperance. He has so much hope in him. That is what a loving parent does.

I don't believe authorities are releasing any additional information. I also feel that the media has pumped the public up with so much bad information the media is no longer helpful so the authorities have no reason to release anything else. I do not believe it has become a cold case. We just need to let the authorities come full circle on it now.
