I would like to hear any comments on living in the area, as we are now located in Port Richey, FL. We are looking for a home to rent, and wonder if there are any situations available. Any help and comments would be much appreciated. Thank you

Any help and comments would be much appreciated. Thank you My wife was born near Weirsdale and we have been renting and living in the area, including the Villages for many years. There are plenty of rentals. House models are very controlled these days, but are being built at about 450 per month. Prices are on the high side compared to other local developments. The Villages are extremely well maintained and controlled. In the Marion Col section no outdoor ornamentation allowed except plants for example. Any questions bill_wilson2@comcast.net

My wife and I were visiting in The Villages at the end of January. We wanted to drive to Ocala. We got about two miles and ran into a traffic jam which was just NOT MOVING. I was disgusted. We finally were able to make a u-turn and get out of that mess. Mike B

There are a lot of hidden charges .
