I know this neighbor personally. She is so sweet, always
smiling. She was driving in the neighborhood with her daughter
in agolf cart,She was absolutely frantic!!

A police ooficer cam to the rescue, which I applaud, I know they
usualy don't get involved in missing pets!!!!!
He took that extra mile to assist my nieghbor and heard the dog
whimpering under a orleander bush on other side of block wall.
He picked the dog up gently and calmed my neighbor, and took the dog with the neighbor to the vet!!!

The dog is recovering at home,it will be a 6 week recovery time
teh Vet is not sure if the dog will make it,our neighbor's are
all praying, this dog is all my neighbor has besides her son and
daughter and She is on hospice care.

Thank goodness for the police officer and the vet.

Coyotes are on the rise, I had a few which I chased away recently, one was on the other side of my fence at 10:00am which
is the same time, the other dog got swooped out of my nieghbors yard.

Please keep a careful eye on small pets, dont leave food or anything
else out which is a temptation. We used to have so many rabbits and
cats in the neighborhood,You dont see hardly any any more. I
understand Coyotes are just trying to survive, because they are
being pushed out by building of homes.

Thank You.

I hope the puppy recovers. It's amazing he survived at all.
Also I would like to say bravo to the officer for going to the extra lengths he did for a pet and owner.

Just wanted to update on the status of the chihuahua
that was attacked by the coyote in Sun City recently.
Sophie, the dog, is barking and up and about!!!!
She still has to go to the vet daily and get blood
transfusions, but She is doing great otherwise.
My neighbor thank's all who said prayers for her Sophie!!!!
Good news once in a while!!!

Wonderful news! Thanks for the update! And yes it's nice to hear that this little guy has a happy ending to his scary event. And relief for the owner! Super great.
I know we get so attached to these furry family members and the thought of them hurt or sick is just as much of a priority as if they were human.
Goodness his name should have a middle name of "Lucky" now.
Best to all of you!
