This man is a former soldier who at one time had the job of defending the rights of the people of the United States of America so that they can continue to enjoy the freedom and rights that come from having been born here.

If he is back in the Middle East doing a job that not only needs to be done, but one that most of us don't want to do, or aren't smart enough to do, why begrudge him the opportunity to serve his country on two fronts?

If he has an assistant Sheriff, this person is there to take over the duties of Sheriff when the Sheriff is pre-disposed doing a more important job, which in my opinion, killing terrrorists so they don't infiltrate the United States more than they alread have, is.

Unfortunately, a lot of the posts I've read are from people who can't spell correctly, let alone write a cohesive sentence, so I have to question the level of understanding for events that are bigger than their immediate world.

I support Sheriff Beauchamp, and I live in Colorado. Sheriff, if you ever want to come to Colorado and hunt elk, let me know - I'll take you.

God Bless.

With all due respect Mule Skinnerette, I do not understand what spelling has to do with anything.
I work with many volunteers in animal rescue here in Wilburton who cannot spell very well and they are the best people I have ever met.
They are generous and hard working but perhaps did not have the opportunities of education alot of people have had.
While I don't agree with some of the opinions concerning this thread, I don't think spelling has anything to do with it.
I agree with everything else you say though, having served in the United States military myself.

Does anyone know what day of the week the Latimer Seriff would be in his office? Does he work out of the Sheriff's office or is he's office located somewhere else.

If he is actively serving in the military, that's one thing. If he's working for a private company and his job requires him to be away from his duties as Sheriff, he needs to resign one or the other. Recall his ass.

Sheriff Beauchamp is an incredibly smart and wonderful sheriff doing a damn good job at protecting the public. He's a good person and should be respected.Sounds to me like theres some people out there who have nothing going for them and carry a chip on their shoulders, and have nothing better to do than to put down respectable people who are making a difference in how safe we are in the world. There are alot of weirdos out there and i'm grateful for everything that makes this world a better place and for Sheriff Beauchamp.

Just saw your sheriff on an unsolved disappearence of a family on Discovery ID. I was immediately drawn to his arms covered in tatoos. I told my wife it was very odd to see a Sheriff who you couldnt tell from the criminals in a tight spot and that most law enforcement prohibits such "sleves". Then I see on here he is a Blackwater Vet. Blackwater has no connection whatsoever with the US Army, its a private company out of Alabama that changed its name under a ton of bad press and misconduct allegations. If I read this right and he has gone back to do security work, that is not military at all and he should not be able to keep both jobs.

OK, just saw he ran out on you to go back to the big bucks civilian contractors make in Iraq. Good choice in my mind, he didnt seem to be a good representative of Latimer County on television.

I liked the tattoos I thought it showed the people of that area were open minded enough to judge by the content of character instead of looks

He was a very good Sheriff.
He is a nice person.
I don't know him personally but he is always helpful, kind, polite to me and everyone.
He did alot of good here and is a real person.
Why would tatoos make some people think otherwise.
I have a tatoo and I'm just a normal hard working person.

Did I read somewhere he was an Army Ranger? The guy is very hot, but the tattoos are definitely a turn off.

He far over did it, even the Marine Corps will no longer allow those "sleve" tattoos on the lower arms. They understand the image it presents.]

He was the best sheriff this county has had in quite a while. He worked overseas on his vacation time so he didn't have to be corrupt. An honest man can not make a living on the wage they pay. (1 big clue here folks). The man could not afford to be the sheriff here honestly. He is a good man. I have known his family forever. We need more men like Israel Beauchamp in office.
