I am a citizen of wynne, and I have a small child in the Wynne school district. I don't hear many issues that concern the schools other than jr high and high school. Can someone tell me how often these elections are held and who's running in each ward? I will vote this week but haven't heard much from any candidates.

I think Shannon Hobbs has a lot more to offer as a leadeer on the WPS board. He's pretty bright and has a history of great service on similar boards such as the regional airport. I like Jackie Clark okay but I don't see him having the background to serve on the board of an educational institution.

So spencer Parker (factory worker) Melvin Taylor (farmer) hobbs(farm equipment sales) Patterson (pharmacist ) all have more experience than Clark(Lt of the biggest police organization in the state, and a college graduate) has no experience in leadership? Are you really that stupid. We need somebody that cares about our children, which are our future. And FYI Hobbs isn't even running against Clark. Taylor is. And where has Taylor been for the past 8-10 years? I tell you where, making bad decisions for our district. I was at the meeting where he was all for hiring dr perry. Then suddenly that was a mistake and he bad mouthed everybody that was against perry. Remind me again what did perry do for our schools? Or better yet remind me what has Carl Easley done???

Hey, dickhead, I was not putting down anybody but rather stating an opinion. It was my understanding that both Hobbs and Clark were running for the position being vacated by Carol Brown's retirement, but if I wrong, then I'll stand corrected. I don't think Melvin Taylor even graduated high school but he sure doesn't bring anything to the schoolboard. I agree that Dr. Perry was a mistake but I think Carl Easley is a good superintendent. My comment was only that I thought in a contest between Hobbs & Clark, Hobbs struck me as sharper intellectually and has perfored well in past leadership positions. As for the Arkansas State Police, our local members are the exception rather than the rule because the ASP isn't known as an intellectual law enforcement body..

Dear guest, you need to get out more often! Taylor is running against Clark. Hobbs is running against Williams from Parkin. And I bet you wouldn't say that about the State Police if you were ever involved in an accident or needed an officer. Probably best if you just Stfu❤!!!

Jackie's past precedes him....just ask anyone. How is he still married.? He also harrasses school employees all the time. Thinks he can shine his badge and do what he wants.

Mr Clark never uses that badge to speak for himself. He's man enough that he will talk to you face to face. He's a man of his word and I believe that he will do a great job on the school board. have you seen Melvin Taylor out campaigning? Nope because he thinks his job is set in stone to sit on the board a few more terms and sniff Carl Easleys butt and enjoy it. When mr Clark visited my family it was raining and he stood in the rain talking with us. Now that's somebody that wants your vote right there .

Jackie Clark has proven to be positive role model. He is a highly decorated state employee and is very intelligent. There's no sense in people taken an opportunity on this forum to bash him or any other candidate. You don't become a LT for ASP for being a dumb ass. He earned his position. You should vote for the best candidate for the school board. Jackie Clark has my vote as well as the majority of this district's vote.

I totally agree and I was just informed that it's CAPTAIN JACKIE CLARK. You have to have some type of leadership skills to become the captain of that many state employees. Vote Jackie Clark!!

Ah, officer Clark is an upstanding role model? That's hilarious!!! He cant keep his zipper up and he loves being a tough guy to folks who are handcuffed. Only reason hes a cop is so he can use his badge to bully people and attract skank badge bunnies. LMAO

You really seem sure of yourself little fella. The joke would probably be on you if you were to compare your credentials to those of Clark.

are you really that jealous? It's time for a change . Wynne is long over due. I personally would like something done about all these sagging jeans at the football games. I think I will call one of the new members and see about that!

Yeah, he will talk to you face to face, you will either be handcuffed or he will talk to you, in a higher than thou tone, as though you are a nobody. How can someone who has spent so many years, dealing with criminals, be the best choice for our children? Maybe you have not seen Melvin Taylor out campaigning because, if a leader is really leading then they do not have time to talk about leading. I don't believe the problem is with Mr. Taylor, but with Carl Easley. They say that parent involvement is greatly needed, but when parents try to be involved, Carl Easley acts as though a parent's opinion of what will help their child, is not important and that he knows what is best. How could he know any child better than the child's parents, all he knows about the child is what he reads in a file? The last part of what you said, spoke a thousand words, He stood out in the rain and talked with you and your family, and that is someone who really wants your vote, I imagine he might stand on one foot and do a circle on the other just to get your vote too. If you know him so well, that you can say without a doubt that he will talk to you face to face and that he is a man of his word. If you know him that well, and he knows that, then why is he trying so hard to get your vote?
