Biden Addresses Empty Seats at NAACP Convention
by Alexander Marlow
The media was quick to point out that Mitt Romney was booed at the NAACP convention yesterday (or were they saying “Boo-urns?”), but will they acknowledge that no one was there to hear Joe Biden’s address? CBS News and National Journal campaign reporter Rodney Hawkins tweeted that “minutes before” Joe Biden’s speech at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston “seats are pretty empty.” He provided the visual above.
The NAACP invites both presidential candidates to their convention every election year; in 2008, both Barack Obama and John McCain attended. This year, President Obama declined the invitation. There has been much speculation as to why President Obama chose to opt out, especially considering the convention’s theme:“Your Power, Your Decision – VOTE.” Apparently the convention-goers were hardly clamoring to hear his surrogate’s speech.
The low turnout could be due to weather, as Hawkins suggests, or perhaps it could have been in protest because the NAACP was snubbed by Obama. Or, maybe people didn’t feel it imperative to hear America’s Grandpa ramble on about how much he learned in a Reverend Wright’s church (though not THE Reverend Wright...).
Whatever the explanation may be, this is yet another misstep for a presidential campaign unable to find its footing.
First of all Obama got the black vote why even show up.. and who wants to hear whitey talk to all black people......thus the low turn out..

You think mutt wanted to be there ( since he knows he's not getting the black vote ) It was just a PR stunt.... and he didnt fill the hall either....LOL!
No one booed Biden !! LOL!

Every Cent You Make (I'll be taxing you)

Barack Obama's purpose in his presidency: To advance socialism, to tax the hell out of everyone, and take away as many freedoms of the American people as possible in four years. God, help us.

Paul Shanklin parody : Every Cent You Make (I'll be taxing YOU!)

Obama is a fascist, socialist, commie; he's a mockery to everything that America stood for in it's founding.

Why that sound like something from the Southern Democrats around 1860!

Good thing that the damned Liberal Republican Lincoln didn't get elected. There would have be blood spilled.

Romney had a good turnout and the heathens booed.

If Romney didn't want to be there he never would of went.

Obama's didn't make time to go. He has the black for and no need to show. When Obama feels he got what he wanted then he has no time for those anymore. Obama uses his own kind and tosses them aside.

Biden is Obama's loose cannon.

No one was there to boo Biden. lol

Oh yeah, I can see why the NAACP was all ready to line up behind Romney. After all, the Mormon Church decided that blacks didn't carry the mark of Cain in 1978!

And from what I hear, Romney bussed a lot of blacks in who were paid to support him. But that's a trivial thing. I mean, bussing blacks to hear some white government guy lecturing them? That sounds just ridiculous. Even in 1978. But the GOP is real progressive nowadays - I hear they let some of the black supporters ride in the middle of the bus!

When one has no facts they resort to the above BS.

I heard that President Jefferson had slaves and even had kids to black women. Is this true?

From what I understand, it's true.

And back in the day, that was quite a scandal and the rumors flew in the papers.

But let us ask McCain if it's such a big deal anymore. It's not like his GOP Presidential run in 2000 got torpedoed by a rumor that his less-than-white child was an illegitimate offspring of his. Is this true?

Actually I think we should stick with the topic of Obama's economy. It's been 3 1/2 years and he promised to turn it around and to be held accountable if the unemployment was over 8%.

Looks like another lie to me since he's running for office again. I'm still waiting for all the government transparency Obama promised and all I see is, well it's all hidden.

Let Romney have the election and go on. It would solve a lot of problems anyway. Those people who are extremely racist would finally have to shut up for a while. The extreme right wing will be so busy trying to defend what he's doing, they'll be out of our hair. The evangelicals won't be able to say much since Romney's Mormon but still their party, they won't know what to say. All the political shills will have to go on defense instead of offence and every last word they have spewed over the past 4 years can be thrown right back at them.
He won't do any better than Obama has, probably won't do worse. He'll have Romney-Care instead of Obama-Care (and of course the republicans will think it's the greatest thing in the world even though it's the exact same thing).
Basically, the only thing that will change will be the skin color and the party. Everything else will be absolutely identical.... other than shutting up the undereducated, unintelligent, loud, rude, obnoxious ignorance that is spewed on a daily basis. It does make me wonder how much of his failure they'll try to blame on Obama, at which point we bring up the posts upon posts of them crying that the economy right now isn't bush's fault because he's not in office when we all know good and well that he was the cause of it.
Let Romney have it, he can do his 4 year term and people will be reminded what Republican control does to the country, they'll be reminded what going without really is now that they've been slowly improving and have lost sight of that, they'll be quickly reminded what real hardship is. Sure, the economy will completely crash, the 99% will have nothing, the 1% will have everything, taxes will go up for low and middle class, down for upper class...but at least we won't have to listen to the shilling and that's worth something.
The same underlying group that's running the country right now will be running the country then. No big difference. We'll end up in a civil war, no big difference. Other countries will hate us, no big difference. Sure, go ahead, give it to him. The only good that will come from it is shutting up the loud, rude and obnoxious bunch and that might actually be worth it

March Madness:

U.S. Gov't Spent More Than Eight Times Its Monthly Revenue

( CNSNews.com )- The U.S. Treasury has released a final statement for the month of March that demonstrates that financial madness has gripped the federal government.

During the month, according to the Treasury, the federal government grossed $194 billion in tax revenue and paid out $65.898 billion in tax refunds (including $62.011 to individuals and $3.887 to businesses) thus netting $128.179 billion in tax revenue for March.

At the same time, the Treasury paid out a total of $1.1187 trillion.

When the $65.898 billion in tax refunds is deducted from that, the Treasury paid a net of $1.0528 trillion in federal expenses for March.

Americans Will Work More than 6 Months to Pay Cost of Gov't in 2012

By Sabrina Gladstone

July 12, 2012

( CNSNews.com )– This year, Americans have to work until July 15 to pay for the burden of government, more than six months.

In a new report, Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) has calculated that Americans will spend a total of 197 days toiling to pay for the cost of government.

"Cost of Government Day is the date of the calendar year on which the average American worker has earned enough gross income to pay off his or her share of the spending and regulatory burden imposed by government at the federal, state and local levels," reads the report.

The report, Cost of Government Day, shows that Americans will work 88 days to pay for federal spending; 40 days for state and local spending; and 69 days for total regulatory costs.

"From a different perspective, the cost of government makes up 54.0 percent of annual gross domestic product (GDP)," reads the report.

"What's more, the largest tax hike in the nation's history is scheduled to take place at the end of 2012 unless Congress acts to protect taxpayers.

If this tax increase is allowed to hit, COGD [Cost of Government Day] could permanently be pushed back into August and beyond."

There are 241 House Republicans. More than 100 have signed the call to defund Obamacare.

So given Speaker Boehner’s evasiveness, the question seems to be.... exactly how many House Republican signatures would it take to convince the Speaker of the House to join in and take the lead in defunding Obamacare?

Only 100 Republicans wanted Obamacare defunded....
What about the other 141?
