Well i think the boys look pretty good little better against Grundy than jasper but that was a long wait between games. Think we should have played some of the guys both ways more could of helped at the end but that's the coaches call he's the coach an he makes the calls sometimes not the right ones but anybody that has coached any kind of ball knows we have to make call under pressure an fast an sometime it bites us then when u get home an setting there winding down u start thinking bout game an thinking why did i do that an not this. Well that's part of life an the game. We need to just back are boys an the coaches no matter what.

I can't wait until the day Whitwell beats South Pittsburg. I know every one else is waiting for them to beat Jasper (the whole Marion County name I guess) but Pittsburg would be even grander since they are all on a high horse. Jasper knows they are beatable but Pittsburg doesn't think Whitwell can do it but they will one day in the near future. GO TIGERS

That makes a big difference when you hear support from the fans all through the game not just when they make a TD. I went to school in jasper and they have so much school spirit. We need that in whitwell. Does whitwell have a mascot? Also if you keep passing the ball off to the same person every time, the other team knows who to go for. Switch it up. You have to believe in the whole team not just one or two players.

Back when I was in high school, we had a lot of school spirit during my first two years. But they started cracking down on the rules my junior year, and people didn't really seem up for it. The majority of people that go to the game are high schoolers and if they're not pumped, that can make a world of a difference. The pep rallies are horrible, and the kids have less freedom to express themselves now. That place isn't really a high school to me anymore; it's just a place to learn.

Ooookay, they have shorter classes now, since they dropped the block schedule. Also, anybody who's around my age and several that are actually in the school will admit that it feels like a jail now. What you're not understanding is that there should be a balance. I'll be the first to admit the classes were way too easy when I started, and they did crack down on that, but why did they have to take away making homecoming floats? Why do they always have to separate the grades during pep rallies? Now, people are just going through the motions at that school and they're losing pride in their school.

Oh, and the school started changing once Ms. Ware became the principle and it got worse when Josh took her place.

I agree with Trevor. They started taking little fun privileges away from us. The pep rallies are a perfect example. When I started school at WHS, the juniors and seniors would sit (stand) at the front of the auditorium on either side, and the football players would sit along the front of the stage. When Ms. Ware became principal, she made the junior and senior class sit two rows from the front. They weren't allowed to go past those two front rows, and because of her doing that, we hardly even stood up and cheered during pep rallies. When you start taking little freedoms and fun things away from kids, they're gonna lose their school spirit. Homecoming was amazing when we did the floats. They took that away from us and we started decorating a DOOR. The principal and vice principal were too worried about confiscating cell phones and and whether your shirt tail was tucked in to worry about our education. It's a joke. It was a joke then and from what I hear it's still a joke now. You can't make a school feel like jail and then expect your students to have any pride in their school whatsoever. You're right loyal tiger fan. School is about education, BUT there needs to be a good balance of education and fun. When you take away all the fun stuff and act like a Nazi just because you're on some kind of ego trip, kids are gonna hate going to school and school functions and that's the bottom line.

It was rumored that WHS was going to have a former college football player help coach during practices, but for some reason he has yet to show up to any and has refused to take any calls from the school.
