Jassmine Luna was 13 years old. The Magnolia Learning Center family and the entire school district is deeply sadened by this event and are mourning the death of their peer. To help the Luna Family, you can make donations to the Mountain View Welfare Fund. Please put in the subject area, "Jasmine Luna." Or, we will gladly take cash. Money or checks can be sent to the Mountain View School District at 3320 Gilman Road, El Monte, CA 91732 to the Attention of Terry Hartshorne.

Anything that you can do to help the family would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for letting everyone know that she was only 13, I have seven and my 14 yr old knew her enough to state that "Jazmine would always put a smile in everybody's face!!" Be assured that the family will be in our families prayers.

To my understanding the girl that sadly passed away was 13 yrs old, not 15th as told in this newspaper. Also my brother went to school with her she asked to get a sip of water and to use the phone to call her mother because she was not feeling well of course the teachers refused and that's when she collapse. Maybe this whole ordeal could have been avoided, if teachers would listen.

This is BS! The truth is that Jassmine was happy in class and talking in class before she went down. I know cause one of the people in the class told us the truth. It is messed up that people have to lie and they dont know what happened. Shut the hell up. Teacher loves us. If you knew the truth youu would not be saying this.

I do not know any history with Greater El Monte Hospital. But, I was there at the hospital suffering from the flu spilling my guts out. I was near the deceased girl. For over an hour, I saw lots of peolple going in and out of the girls work station. I heard them working on her, heard the sounds of people working hard on her. I actually was mad cause the rest of us were not receiving as good of care not knowing or realizing that next door was a baby getting worked on. I feel bad for my thoughts. So for anyone thinking Greater El Monte didn't do there part, that would be completely false in this very sad case.
