Notice no comment from Hahn, she voted for herself at this location two days ago, but could not show-up for others. Guess no money from the nurses during her latest campaign. www.recalljanice.com Maybe it was Reggie's birthday, that certainly would take priority over local jobs. www.recalljanice.com

I was there, maybe you should get your facts straight before posting comments.

Shame on you Nancy have you forgotten you years as a staff RN? When you worked short staff because the hospital, not LCM, had cut staffing? For hospitals today it is not patient care it is the bottom line.

You could not do the work that a RN does in a 12-13 hour shift. Many times they stay off the clock to finish their work. It is not like it is on TV. Most times they are understaffed because the hospital has cut staffing, dealing with very sick patients, the families and doctors that are unavailable. And taking just one more patient to their heavy load. It would be nice if they had an LVN or CNA but many times they are also overworked.I think that it is a disgrace when someone who hasn't a clue says RN's are greedy. You are a fool!

What do you expect. The Hospital has to hire someone to care for the Patients. Maybe striking was not meant to be.

Heard its a disaster at the hospital. serves them right..we need support from the commmunity! The hospital brought in nurses to cover the patients while you were out on strike. I'm pretty sure these nurses studied just as hard as you.....why would you call them SCAB nurses? What was the hospital supposed to do? Close down? Discharge all patients? Do you really think patients in ICU or long term rehab care that someone other than a union nurse came in to care for them.....??? I've been a patient while your union nurses were working....especially in the ER.....its a JOKE !

I am an RN and unions do nothing but cause more problems than they solve. I refuse to join a union and prefer to care for people, like I was educated to do. You say you are striking for patient safety...what a joke...who would have cared for those patients if the hospital had not brought in other nurses? I also bet you would not support or help out another nurse if they did not belong to a union. Unions have done nothing but send US jobs to other countries. Being a nurse is about so much more than money, but it appears many do not see that.

Hospitals attempt to undermine the concerns of nurses on a daily basis. Then when the voice of the nurse protest becomes too loud they blame the nurse of being greedy. The hospital would rather pay a scab twice the amt of money because they are too greedy to concede and negotiate a decent contract. They like to point out "These tough economic times" yet somehow have a vast flow of money to pay to individuals who are just there for the money. And they are ok with that. It's disgraceful. Scabs are disgraceful.

Have you ever waited in the ER to be admitted because there are not enough RN's to staff the unit? Hospitals have many over paid adminstrators like most businesses and not enough staff members. RN's and other hospital staff are being asked to work long hours to take care of your family and getting very little support from the hospitals.

So the hospital covered their bases because the nurse's union threatened with strike. Now the nurses are pissed at the hospital for doing so? Do you twits have any idea at the amount of liability the hospital is facing had you gone on strike and the patients weren't cared for? I bet even your union could have been implicated in the case of a law suit. You guys are an educated group of people. Do yourself a favor and lose the union. Your union envolvement has really put a bad light on you. I wouldn't trust that hospital now.
