so lets see thats where they grow food for the inmates! cool / thats wher they do all the county sheriff laundry cool, now lets see. lets close down where they grow the food they eat got to go to Vons now that should cost how much? well get back to that, next the laundry what are they going to do send it home with the new deputies and have them do it on their off days>? again need to think on that on that on too?
so lets see in this money saving operation how much are we going to save more for food more to have a outside contractor do the laundry?
The time for change is here all right but guess where it needs to start

First we need to stop all the illegal activity within our department then stop all the killings so that the law suits stop then we need to stop taking home our patrol cars that should save gas money also if we really crack down on the gangs that will give us a great amount of drug money and homes and cars we can sell and all the service men and wemon that keep hiding by parking there cars behind buildings and hotels you will be fired

What the hell are you two talking about? I didnt understand what you were saying. And since when did deputies take patrol cars home? Unmarked cars maybe but Im not aware of any departments in the area that let officers take patrol cars home at the end of their shifts. Except for k-9 officers that is

"But Antonovich said many of the inmates were originally arrested on far more serious crimes, but agreed to plead guilty to a lesser offense. Under the proposal, Antonovich said 8,600 unsupervised parolees could be on the county's streets by the end of the year."

And who's fault is this? Our broken (in)justice system that overcharges in the first place. Judges who get angry if you use their courtroom (paid by the citizens) if you go to trial and if you're convicted you will get the max sentence, which is why 99% of the accused take plea deals for lesser offenses.

Also, MCJ is a horrible place, inmates kill themselves in there all the time because the conditions are horrible and let's not forget that some of those "inmates" haven't been convicted, they are still waiting for their day in Court.

The entire system is a mess, you better hope you're never arrested you don't know what they'll come up with as far as "evidence" against you.

its just a matter of time before the garbage they let out of prisons and jails kill you or your loved ones, not to mention all the sexual assaults upon your daughters and yourselves, all the crime thats committed against us good people, the garbage know exactly what they are going to do even before they are just let back out on the free world, they will be coming straight at us and our families, you can thank your elected officials for what is about to come down on all of us good people, i think for the safety of society all the garbage they are going to set free on good people that instead of letting any garbage out of prison that they should all be hung by the neck.

Cutting salaries and benefits? Nope.

Instead, a cheap political stunt designed to scare the voting public.

It costs the decent people of LA Co.$26M to cage the uncivilized element of our society? Too bad we can't do like they do in some foriegn dictatorships and just eliminate those who can not live by a few simple rules. Firing squad, mass graves, and a huge burden on society removed. But no, we as a compassionate civilization must now deal with 8,600 unsupervised parolees.

LASO cant possibly have enough patrol cars to let deputies take them home at the end of their shift. And who would want to park a giant target like that in their driveway?

Are you so paranoid that you really believe this crap? It pisses me off to my core that think like you, so they committed crimes, okay? and? they are not all garbage as you deem them, they have families and wives and children just like you.

You haven't watched a Robert Downey or Alec Baldwin movie lately have you? would hate to think you spend money on that "garbage". not a sports fan right? god knows they have a few that have spent time behind the walls.

Stop being so damn dramatic, every criminal is not out to rape you or kill you, the words "violent Criminal" does not mean there was even violence in the crime. try educating yourself instead of screaming the sky is falling, you realise the people that "protect you" from them have had 3 of their own arrested right? for smuggling dope into the prisons.

Lets not forget about the susanville CO that stabbed himself, and reported it stating someone else did it. so lady your not any safer by keeping anyone locked up. people need to get past the hype cops and cdcr and every state union is trying to scare you with.

They are trying to save their jobs and will say anything to do it. huge mistakes being made as of late, instead of questioning the officials that have allowed certain releases, you like a minion shift it to the inmate and start bashing them.
