There are a lot of young people in this town. If we don't provide extra actiities, we are going to loose them. We are sending them to other towns just to skate board. That means they use their money for drinks and food, as well as gas in these other towns. If we build good skate parks here, we bring money here. This is and has been a big recreation for the young people. Our youth are growing up quickly and moving away. We need something more here in Whitmire to make them want to stay and raise their familys here. It's easy to do the research on these parks by just Googling it on the internet.
The school has the regular sports, but there are a lot of youth that don't get into that - they do like the skate boarding. Why not put something out there for everybody?:)

In reference to the Whitmire Annex Building being on the ballot for the one cent sales tax I donít think county tax payer money should be spent to buy a building from a county councilman for an annex to the current town hall. Seems a little unethical. What do you think?

Why canít they just have court and their meetings at the community center?$489,260 could be spent on projects more diversified for all of the community members then just a pet project for some.

Our public library is in great need of more computers for the unemployed people of Whitmire to do their college studies on so they can become more marketable in the work force and also brought up to ADA standards. I think this would have been a better choice to be on the ballot, as well as it would have made more of an economic impact in our community long term.
