I have found that only a select few stores sell lard now. Only 2 stores in my county has lard in stock and this is no joke. I have never seen a time in my lifetime that you couldn't by lard at any store. I have not seen or heard on the news about whats going on either. I dont use lard in my diet but im just kind of wondering WHERE'S THE HELL IS THE LARD? ": >(

I've heard a few comments that some people are experiencing difficulties finding lard.
Yesterday, I saw something on tv that said they were now using pig fat to make bio fuel,,,could have something to do with it.

Well one thing a person could do would be raise their own pork and render the fat themselves. Using one of those turkey deep fryers with the spout located at the bottom works great for this job. A person might check with the local slaughter houses to buy pork fat also.

Has anyone eles heard about the over weight tax? Someone told me that they are going to try and tax you on your weight, for every pound that you go over. What the hell will they come up with next? Before long you will have to get permission to eat what you want. America is not the land of the free anymore. Those days are long gone!

First of all you do pay a tax in stores for soda and fast food places do charge you tax on what you buy. And about lard it is one of those things very few people buy any more like dry snuff and 25# bags of flower and meal. 20# bags of beans and 50# bags of potatoes are not in demand anymore.
