Once called 'Black Beauties', 'Yellow Jackets'. Back before anyone thought they was just dope. Speed has been used for over 65 years, even the army used it for soldiers in WWII. None of it is 'clean speed' if that's why you're using it.

I don't understand it either....
My uncle, not from MC, discovered a meth lab laying in a ditch, called and got the sucker removed quickly. He said he thought that's what it was with a little tube coming from one bottle going into another. And I hear these can blow up on you, so what's keeping the users from actually blowing themselves up?

Wow,,,50% that's an astounding number. I'd be scared to death to fool around with something like that. Oh, I've been told if you happen upon one like my uncle did, to not pick it up that these can blow on you as well.

There was a documentary on tv a year or so ago about meth. They had a guy in it that had survived being burnt and 90% blinded by his meth lab blowing up and how he was living his life then and later at the time of the broadcast. He still used, even tho he wasn't able to make it anymore. The mentality of people like that makes me sick. To act so pitiful because they are hooked, an addict. I know I know it is a bad way to be, to be an addict. But I still say if they were to go to half the trouble to stay away from it and off of it that they go to to get it to take it they would be able to stay clean. To get their mind set to not use any of it and to stay in that frame of mind. But the addict has so much support and so much help for their problem. The family does not have that same thing in order to be able to deal with it's destruction.

I totally agree. It ruins lives, I've had some I cared for dear do it and I'm sure he still is. Point is I seen that he was killing himself and then killing me. My heart really breaks for those who have decided to allow that poison to enter their body.:( God Help him, them and all of us.

Sad scenario, but interesting outlook... Unfortunately, the innocent people who are hurt, robbed and even sometimes killed in the process of these criminals while they support their addictions, is a VERY serious issue.

You would have to be a complete idiot to tamper with a meth lab, especially a makeshift lab located in a mysterious ditch. You're uncle either ran put of stories to tell or maybe he saw the remnants of a lab in a ditch. It's not likely to blow up at that stage but good thing they "got the sucker out" at methmovers.com . A functioning lab is very scary because most "cooks" are tweaked out and paranoid anyways and cooking meth is super dangerous (I have never cooked meth but have seen and smelled it and it's pretty gnarly and scary) But again it would not be in a ditch that you just happen by! He probably saw some supplies that were used previously then ditched...or it was nothing related to meth production. If your neighbors have tinfoil over all their windows and you smell a pungent urine odor and notice sketchy folks, then I would call the police to avoid being any part of the explosion. The ditch stuff probably didn't matter.

I've been a drug addict for 16 years and even when I'm doing well and sticking to my sobriety it's a constant battle. I kind of look at it as the modern day human suffering. We have iPhones and digital cable and memory foam mattress. We don't suffer as humans the way humans did in the past. Drugs are like the last battle...for some of us. Some don't develop addictions and some never even try drugs. But that doesn't mean that those people who do "deserve" anything. Sorry I am piggy backing off whatever that "to cute" person said...I think it's supposed to be "too" but I'm not sure how it is referring to cuteness...,just like to cute doesn't deserve to be punched in the face for being ignorant, selfish and uncompassionate. See, we all need to help each other out.:)

Thank you for your honesty! Drug addiction is a serious problem, however, unless you've been addicted you do not understand the battle. I, too, was an addict and still struggle years into sobriety. I remember a family member once saying, "Just Stop!" Of course, that family member had never been an addict. Best of luck to you in your ongoing quest for sobriety, it is a lifelong battle!:)

From my experience...I had speech impairment and difficulty understanding people when they talked (only recieved bits and pieces of what they said). Only understood reading and texts and was my only form of communicating with people.

Well that was before I was addicted to it. I used for a year in "reasonably" doses and getting enough food/sleep between "highs". I was able to: understand people word for word, pronouncing words with clarity, making eye contact, and mood was much better (smiling and laughing more often) after I stopped using.

Maybe most people are too weak minded or stupid to control themselves. But it was more beneficial for me in the long run and don't regret it. Been clean since and happier with the results.

*Prior before using I was severly depressed and too shy or scared to try new things.
