Does IGA drug test all their employees? That what I heard. I think thats crazy that a grocery store would drug test their emplyees, yet schools and bus drivers do not. Its a grocery store for Gods' Sake! If anyone has been hired on recently, please give me feedback.
schools do

More and more businesses are drug testing today. The liability issues alone make it worth while. Plus, I don't want a pill-head anywhere near my credit card information.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I'd give them a big "Good for You and Way to Go", if it is true. It would be nice if ALL employers would drug test applicants before hiring for any type of job. If a person is scared to be tested, there must be reason. This might cut down on drug use, you recon?

As for the school system, any employee can be randomly tested at any time and that's a fact, not hearsay.
so so

Yes, we all were drug tested. There were more than a few that got let go, unlike everywhere else in this county. There it does not matter who you know, if you fail, your fired!! The way it should be!!

If you work for the school system, you can be randomly drug tested. You may neverbe selected, or you may got selected every tie. Are you willing to chance it?

Drug testing will soon be implemented on those who receive public assistance ranging from state to federal level, for example SSI, Food Stamps, etc..
Testing is scheduled to begin in May 2011. All will be tested based on the quarter of their birth month and then bi-annually. If a person fails they will have their benefits suspended for 90 days at which time they will be tested again if they want their benefits back. This is a great program aimed at reducing drug use.

No problem with drug testing unless you have something to hide.

If you don't like it, Leave it...... Drug testing is a very good thing, I believe it keeps the company from being held resonsible if an accident does occur due to some drugged up low life's negligence to do their job properly. The only people who have a problem with drug testing are the people who have something to hide.....

Why wait till May, start it now! I think they should give random drug testing to these individuals same as a job. Show up at the doorstep and escort them to the Dr's. Don't let them know it's coming and give them half a chance to cover-it up. Medical records are flagged for druggies why not assistance? Too many druggies and thugs lying around drawing a check and eating free food at the working man's expense. While the working can barely make it paycheck to paycheck.

Drug testing is an invasion of privacy. The government is on the way to controlling everything. Drug testing and "Big Brother" are only the beginning. We will have computer chips before long and we just sit back and allow this shit to happen. We don't live in a free country. Are you kidding me!!! Our society sucks ass.
No drug testing is a way to keep people safe, I would rather know the person who is handleing my food is clean and safe and not some meth head drooling over a food stamp, Yes in a way we all do drugs from caffene to alcohole but I would rather A person seeling me food be wide awake on coffee then have poweder up their nose meth in their veins
