Another product of the rumor mill. Kroger is a good store, wish it was a bit bigger and that way it could offer additional products. IGA is good too, it has a wider variety. I really like banana tuesdays. We could be a ghost town and not have decent stores to shop from. Even being a small town we have more than some.

Thanks! I LOVE 'NANNERS! But I've avoided buying them at 59 cents a lb because I usually end up giving at least three or four to the critters because they go bad on us.

I wonder, do all of the IGA's have 'nanner Tuesdays?? I'm going to call and find out, LOL!!!

Banana trees are being killed by a parasite and bananas will soon be expensive.

By which parasite? There are many. Banana trees are very hardy. Reports of the coffee bean plants being damaged hit the news a while back also. Just the companies way of jackin the price up to make it hard on the consumer. Remember the toilet paper 'shortage' a few years back?
Yeah, rite.

I like Krogers best, but agree it would be great if it were bigger. You know you can now go to Kroger.com & load coupons onto your Kroger Plus card & they are taken off when you check out.

Kroger maybe a good place to shop, but its a hell of a place to work! I worked their about 3 years ago. First off I never missed a day of work, I worked even when I was sick, but I ask for a Sunday off all because my Grandmother had ask me several different times to attend church with her. I was TOLD to make a choice what was more important CHURCH or a JOB!! so I didn't get to attend Church services with my Grandmother a couple of months passed and she past away, I then ask for two days off one for the viewing services and the second day for the funeral. I then was told NO!!! So I thought to myself that I missed out on the one LAST thing that my grandmother asked me to do because of KROGER I was very frustrated at this point so I quit and I would never work there again.

I'm sorry but I don't believe u. As long as u ask in advance (the Sunday u asked for) they will give u the day off. As for asking off for the funeral of your grandmother I highly doubt they would tell you no!! It's not like u were the only person working there. And no I don't work there but do have 2 family members that do. I'm also not related to Sandra or any of the others.

Sounds like you have a grudge for some other reason that what you stated. The whole story isn't told. I have a friend that works there and I just don't believe your story. If I'm wrong; please forgive me.

Probably wasn't a very good worker and they were trying to make you quit.

I didn't say that I worked at the Kroger in Whitley City! Yes this did very much happen! I was a very hard worker and even after I quit he was calling me asking me to come back to work! I don't have to prove a anything to anyone. Opinions are like ass holes everyone has one. I'm not asking you to believe me I was just stating what I experienced as an employee at Kroger.
