Deputy King is a well trained officer and you'all are right about everything. I would vote for him also. "No matter when or where you will always see SHERIFF KING there!"
How about that for campain work

I can not say anything on "GUS" because I used to work for him but, I remember when Chris was a boy and getting ready to go to the army. Then I remember when he came back as a man. If one day he does decide to run for Sheriff I would hope he would give me the chance to put my gun belt back on and work for him. It's not everyday that someone with the ability, and the heart comes along and is dropped in your lap. Hope you stick with this career "IN THIS COUNTY" Chris.

I agree with "Vote" drunk drivers have took away so much of peoples lives, where have u been
"wtf" just something to complain about, that bootlegger has been caught so many times before, now that Gus is in he might get put away for it, the bootleggers havent been watched because of the drugs, but it is just as much of a problem

i'll give you that drunk drivers take lives as well. drug dealers however ruin families just as much as drunk drivers, more actually. u cant count the number of people you know that was killed by a drunk driver. try counting how many drug abusers you know. i have never once heard of someone stealin off mommy and daddy to buy beer. but they will sure steal for some oxycontin. i agree the law is the law but it's just as hard to bust a bootlegger as it is to bust a drug dealer. drugs are more of a problem in this county than illegal alcohol sales.

Gus Skinner , McCreary County's High-Sheriff and The Whole Department are doing the best job that has been done in this county and area for many a year. Of course there are always people that don't care for who's in office, but one things fer shore, We Gotta A Top-Notch, Hard-Workin', Successful Sheriff's Department Now. Just check the arrest records since taking office in 2007.
Then check the prosecution record against that.
Tell me what you find.

I like and respect Chris King. I would have to vote for Gus over Chris in an election due to the fact that Gus brings the 30 plus years of experience in Law Enforcement and as a business owner. All of those aspects are important in the office of Sheriff. You have to be a Lawman AND an administrator in that office and the latter is where Chris is lacking only due to his age. In the years to come I think he would have a great chance of being Sheriff.

To mr. its all good
I respect your opinion and i would agree that chris is young, but as a deputy he has shown that he could do the job. Just look at all the moonshine stills, pot plants, and meth labs that have been found over the last 2 years.
In every case you will find Deputy Kings name along with others but not the sheriffs name. Why? 80% of the time king is even the one that found and broke the case. AT first I thought it was luck but the more i read and listen to the people around town it aint just luck. Hes out there shaking the bushes making things happen. The people of this county know him and his family and that is big, not only in politics but in trust to. The community needs someone they can trust and talk to. Mr. skinner has done a fine job compared to some other sheriffs in the past, but i still see alot that needs to be fixed. that's me looking from the outside i know, but so far skinner has not lived up to all he has said he would be. At first thinking he could get fiscal court to give him some more money instead of "making the big bust" like he said he would. he made other countys feel sorry for us and give us a new vehicle. In my opinion that was a sad day for county. where is the grants and the forfitures and the drug bust? Deputy king might be young but he is doing the work and that more than i can say about the sheriff.

To> myvotecounts,

Whut been said about all the good bein' did and still needs a'doin' accordin' to election campaign promises, hell, Gus has only been sheriff'n fer about 20 months now, an' Super Man couldn'a did any better. How you figure it wuz Chris whut did all the good o'everthang? It takes a whole DEE-partment to do a good job. I wish to hell the ee-leckshuneer'n would jes' shut up. Gus is givin ye whut everbody wuz a'askin' fer, drugs off'n the street a little better, a workin' Sheriff's Department, less'n I be mistook, he AND the deputies is doing a great job. Gus, if he runs agin, I'll vote fer him. Ain't seed nobody else I'd ruther have rite now.
