Gas was $1.89 the day George Bush left office.

WHO CARES! The Bush days are over! You got an easy solution to the mess our country is in? This is so old by now. My first apartment years ago was a 2 bedroom and only ran me $75.00 a month. You even can't get a decent motel room for one night much cheaper than that now. My water bill is even higher than that! So what are you going to do and why drag this cliche through the mud on Topix for years to come? This "gas during Bush" catch phrase is about as old as everyone spouting "Karma" and "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". IT'S OVERKILL ALREADY! Gas will never be that low again, a loaf of bread will never be a nickle again and Bush will never be in office again. Get over it and move on.

Melanie wrote: I also had a good job then. Lost it and now I am on the draw as you folks say. Furthermore, you obviously discovered how to play the system well. You don't go "on the draw" simply from loosing a job. You'd have unemployment to fall back on if you had a job worth working hard enough to use as a career base. So the way I see it, you're part of the problem. Play on. People like you will bleed us all dry soon enough.

The only jobs IDIOT Obama creates are government jobs. How many more trillion will he run us in debt this year. The fool can't even send a budget to congress.

I don't know about that, those goverment jobs are drying up also. How many post offices does he plan on shutting down in the next few years?

The USPS won't pass by the wayside just like the pony express and the telegraph did, but one day if they're not careful they'll need a bailout. We don't rely of it as much as we did years ago. We have email, texting, etc. It's not the total necessity that it was years ago. Even our bills can be paid and received online now. The USPS needs cut backs. It's not going to survive if it doesn't make changes. Raising the cost of stamps ain't gonna keep it afloat. I've noticed that my packages arrive quicker now that the bulk of the mail has decreased through the years. It's just a sign of the times. It has nothing to do with who's in office. Some of you will try anything to sway people. All of us aren't blindly stupid enough to be your gullible sheep.

LOL Gas is 3.14 in LaFollette. Corbin is always cheaper than most. Someone in Somerset is lining their pockets on the public's expense. No doubt about that.
