I would first take care of my children, parents and siblings. I would fill the pantries with food medical care. Get list of the neeedy and help with the individual needs. Add to the park. Play ground and pool. We do have super rich who do nothing for their own family. Blood first others second.

I would start a factory, staff it with good dependable workers, and once it was up and running profitably, I would give it to the employees, then do it again. I would also build a place fully equipped for crafters and artisans to use so they could discover/improve their talents.

I would build a water park, bowling alley, indoor shooting range, and many other things for the community to use for recreation.

I would make this county a tourist destination that would make Gatlinburg and Dollywood look like a road side dump.

I would make sure our local politicians were honest and dependable by holding them accountable in a court of law for their dirty deeds.

Then I would get serious about helping our citizens to become a better people by rewarding honesty and integrity.

I do not know the man but a job is a job. It may not be as much income but the other choice is no money. Need to have some apperication cause you could have no job and no income.

I think the question was what would you do for the county if you were "super rich". Too bad that you are one of those that roll over for any bone or scrap that you are tossed. People like you are why we are in such sad shape, they take what they are handed and never complain about the corruption that steals the local wealth.

I'd pay off the Ten Commandments. I'd let y'all pay the settlement from the garbage suit and courthouse renovation. Not going to be stupid with all this money. Now that I think about it, you'uns just go ahead and pay the Ten Commandments deal too. I'm moving to Somerset.

i would find a way to sue the crap out of all the nasty people who likes to trash other folks on here. i would help ever single person who ever had there name trashed on here and sue the pants off of the ones who done it. then i would pay for ever guilty ones name to be put in the news paper for the world to see it. the real names of who done it right along with how much the person who got trash talked would get from them from the courts.

I'm with you Lilly. I'd move someplace where it's warm all of the time and live on the beach. Not downplaying or uninterested in the problems in McCreary County, but there's a death grip on this county by many hands. It's like a island cut off from everything around it and outsiders look in on us in disbelief as if watching a freak show.
The people here in general are great; very hospitable and caring plus it's a beautiful territory, but there's nothing here and until the powers that be die off, it's not going to change.
Think about what little changes have taken effect here over the last 50 years compared to anywhere else in the world. It's like this place is frozen in time. It started with Stearns making everyone dependent on the mine company to live getting just enough to survive and all the profit going back to the company. Free slavery basically. You can leave at anytime, but while you are here you owe your soul cause you aren't going to make much over minimum wage if you can find a job at all. Sorry but it's only a dream. The only people you are going to get super rich here already are.

I would buy everyone in McCreary county a bar of soap and a toothbrush then i would pay for lessons on how to use them for everyone .Then if that worked i would buy combs and brushes for everyone . I think it would go a long way on making this a better place.
