"A report from the Congressional Budget Office, dated May 7, 2009, predicted that companies affected by the legislation would pass expenses to consumers. The report estimates the legislation would cost the average household about $1,600 per year, with a range of $700 for households with the lowest income up to about $2,200 for households with higher incomes."
The CBO released numbers of from 700.00 to 2,200.00 a year increase to consumers. I have seen articles quoting 175.00 a year, where did that come from? Or did they mean 175.00 a month? Or have they lied to make it sound better?

first you have to prove to me Global Warming is happening to believe it. The last few years have been below normal for the entire earth. It almost seems as if we have been cooling since 1998. But I guess the low Sunspots have something to do with it. The Dust Bowl of the 30's continues to be the warmest period of modern times in North America. 1936 the warmest year on record.. That did not happen during a high sunspot cycle. How do you explain that? So far this year not one single Hurricane in the Atlantic. After we were told the entire east coast, and gulf states would be wiped out by 2005. Not too mention in the 80's it was predicted we wouldn't make it to see 2000 at the rate Greenhouse gasses were accumilating.

I guess its just fine for Congress, and our President to tax the hell out of us with whatever they deem is poison. But not offer anyone who wants to get off the power grid interest free or no interest loans to do so. Just make the lower and middle class suffer so we can't afford to heat our homes.. AND.. still not make alternative fuels affordable. Make all Gasoline 15% ethanol so we have no choice what we buy.

Oh well.. The boneheads voted for these nutcases.. That's what they get.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Taurus

If you gave up over what happened yesterday, you stand a better chance of sorting things out today. Talking to the person who failed to go for the teamwork may help to get a grip on the situation, especially if you manage to avoid recriminations or accusations. Instead, do your best to be as understanding and compassionate as possible. Or just let it go.
