There are two prisons in Whiteville and when I worked there it was the worst possable place to be. inmate and officer just the same. recently almost everyone with a title there got terminated by internal affairs. As for the economy, I don't know how it effects it but the economy of hardeman county period is absolutely horrible!!!

CCA has two prisons there. The pay is about average for the area, but the working conditions are dismal. Private corrections are in it for the money and they cut every corner they can. They hire and promote children to deal with very long hours and high stress environments. The turnover of staff is horrible throughout CCA. Their answer to leadership is "yes men", political correctness, and empty slogans that sound impressive but are as hollow as bamboo!

HCCF and WCF can kiss my ass. Both those prisons are prisons for the employees and a damn holiday resort for the inmates. The inmates get too many rights in this state and employees don't get enough. If you don't work at either on now, do yourself a favor and don't start, cuz you'll regret it if you do.

Worked there (WCFA) and quit. One of the worse places in the world to work.

I go there to visit someone and the staff is always very nice. The inmate I visit says the same thing.

Yes there are 2 prisons and yes they both suck! If you do not kiss ass, say yes to everything they do you are screwed, my advice to all quit if you can, walk away before you start or just plain live in a cardboard box before going there, turns good people into evil ones!

For those of you that think they do so much...never get a break....grow up. Some of you just talk on the phone the whole time, not willing to even help your fellow team members, but gossip and put others down. Sitting in a booth and writing in a log book is so hard. Some of you need to get out of Hardeman cty and find a real job... where you would never be able to survive.
I comment those Officers that come to work and work as a team. Doing there job daily helping anyone that will ask without attitude. I thank those people everyday that can keep integrity and respect for others.

It was Whiteville. I'm trying to find out why b/c of someone else I know there. I wonder what kind of guy he is. I don't want my friend involved with someone who list there job there. I've heard they have a high turnover.

In the State of Tennessee you are to be given 15 mins break for every 6 hours worked. That's the law. You do not have to be given 30 at once and the 15 can be at any time during, before, or after that 6 hours. Not trying to piss anybody off , just stating the law.

Oh and just to clarify the company decides whether the break is on or off the clock.
