Hick town/WHITEVILLE,TENNESSEE

This is the MOST hick town I have EVER lived in. I have ran into a lot of crazy, backwood circumstances but what I encountered today takes the cake. I called Southwest Electric to report a street light out, and they tell me to call city hall. I did that and was told that they had just turned in a collection of lights that had been reported out, and they would put mine on the "list." When I asked how long it would be until they turned another list in, I was told they did not know. They would have to wait until they got another "collection" of reports.
Seriously? We are supposed to do the cities job for them? What the heck kind of uncivilized hick town is WHITEVILLE, TN?
NO jobs, No places to go eat, NO decent shopping, No CITY WORKERS??????????
NEVER EVER move here if you like civilization.
OH and they do have CITY taxes, and the tags are upwards of above 100.00
Before you say move, I moved here,thinking I was moving into a "nice little town", and now like the rest of this town, too broke to get out!!!!!!!
It is awful. If you are thinking of moving here, and are reading this, you seriously might want to rethink!!!!!!!

You are welcome to leave this "hick town" at any time. And if you are who I suspect (SP), then the majority of the populace of this "hick town" would be more than willing to help you pack up your belongings, and your mini farm and get out.

Hmm...I think they got the wrong address. Robbers do not normally have items on the top of their list that are covered in dog and cat urine, poop, and hair balls. At least I wouldn't think so! But I guess I'm too much of a hick to understand that. Oh well. But I do believe that the sweet charismatic people of whiteville will help you, your family, and your poorly maintained animals by having a collection to help y'all get out of this hick town. Where would y'all like relocate? Cali is beautiful in the summer I believe! How about there? I bet the whiteville community would be more than happy to get y'all and your poor excuse of an organic garden out of here. Just a few ideas floating around in this empty hick head of mine. i had the street light go out in front of my place also. i called city hall and was told the same thing you were. in about 3 weeks it got fixed.

so what is your problem? seems like you are being treated just like everyone else.

you could have the light changed to your property and pay for it your self.

this aint california dumbass where street lights never go out and service is 24//7 and taxes high as hell

It is hard for people who move to small towns to remember the safe, healthy environment they longed for. Whiteville is beautiful and peaceful. You will have to get in to the habit of doing city things in Memphis or Jackson. Nobody likes a whiner.

Surely all these beautiful crosses make up for the lack of quality restaurants, entertainment, night clubs, bars, opera, symphony orchestra and education etc. I suggest you join just about any church, pay your tithes, and convince yourself that the next life will be happier.

From the real SP and it is SMP. If you actually knew me, I would have used "run" rather than "ran" sentence. There is something to be said for paying attention in school!
Second, the person who pretends to me knows full well I hate shopping. I don't go to night clubs, we don't even have cable as we work honestly for a living and have no time for nonsense.

Just one little thing and then I will leave you to your own devices while I have a life.

Since our taxes are approximately 1/9th of what we paid in another state, I am the LAST person to complain about taxes. You don't know how good you have it here. Expenses are much more in other areas of the region, state, and country. Keep on smilin' for those cameras.
I will also pray for your low self esteem issues with regard to intelligence. It isn't a matter of being smarter, it is just a matter of using the gifts God gave us all.
