Wow the world according to dumb dumb... This comment is for all of you HYPER HIPPIE MARIJUANA MAFIOSO-
So you and your hyper hippies are the finally authority on priority cases? Please enlighten me. What does a doper sitting in the woods covered in ignorance and self interest armed with automatic rifles really know about anything? Actually you are the type of jerk that would hide Osama bin laden. If I were looking for dangerous wanted criminals it would be in Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino Counties. This northern California area is flooded with malcontents, anti rule, anti law, sniveling, self righteous cry babies- What hard earned money of yours has contributed to society? Illegal earnings you spend on yourself does not count.
Remember all of your warm and fuzzy programs would not exist without tax payers money.... I said tax payers! Not dope growing, tax cheating murders.
So legalize drugs and tax them. You'll get a tax base, let idiots overdose, and wipe out violent gangs and cartels' cash cow. Not to mention start recouping the billions already lost to fighting it and failing miserably.

It's amazing that here we are in the new millenium and many people still harbor the reefer madness propaganda. That's 'progress' for you.
One hundred million Americans have smoked pot. That's half the of-age population (over 12). Since marijuana is less intoxicating, impairing and harmful than alcohol, it's no stretch to realize the truth the vast majority of marijuana consumers are responsible, hard-working adults who care for their children and are respected members of their community.
Some people just have to have someone to look down on - even if they have to make up the reasons.
The reason for this non progress, i think, is that half of the half who tried it- got really scared. Pot makes people introspective, and sometimes looking inward is very disturbing. You add this 'disturbed' half to the fearful, brainwashed, non-curious first half and bodda bing!-no progress!

But the really big reason is $$$$$$$$$$ The 'underground' supports capitalism-especially, rabid capitalism.
