Shelter Cove / Whithorn area reality?...

Shelter Cove / Whithorn area reality? Any NON realtors care to comment?

In looking at Real Estate ads for Shelter Cove, it SEEMS like a paradise...though it seems odd that such an unpopulated paradise would still be a possibility anywhere in Ca. Curious, I did an internet search...though I mostly see realtor posted info...I did find a few tidbits about lack of police protection and an abandoned car problem a couple years ago.

Can someone shed some REALISTIC light onto the realities of buying into and actually living in this area? I understand (and like) the aspects of it being secluded, but also would like to know all that comes with that (meth problems, etc?).

It seems too good to be true, and I'd hate to get caught up in some real estate scheme.

Thanks to any non realtor locals for input
