How sad, once again a rich athlete is tarnishing his image and damaging the Colts name as well as the NFL....and for what? So a spoiled rich man can get away with what he wants! Bottom line, Trudeau knew he was breaking the law by allowing underage drinking at his residence. Anyone else would have already been hung out to try because they could not afford some shyster lawyer to help him weasel out of paying his dues...What a pathetic human you are Trudeau! Grow a pair and face up to your responsibility as a parent... Good parents do not allow underage minors to come to their house and drink......

Come on Mr. Jackie Boy - quit hiding behind the rich and the nannies. Admit you screwed up and let our court system and the Star News get on with more important business.

Why waste the courts time, we all know this will eventually go away. There are two sets of rules, one for the haves and the other for the have nots. Another way of saying those who can afford high powered attorneys will always skate.

Glad to see the nannies were all there doing their job. Sheesh.

I so hate that crap about letting the kids drink at home so they don't drink elsewhere. Such garbage. Trudeau deserves what he gets. The legal drinking age is 21 for a reason. Sure, lots of us, me included, snuck around to drink, but the simple fact that you had to sneak made it much harder and much less likely you'd do it all of the time.

I agree with Doofus up there, he knew exactly what was going on at his house. Probably a favor for a friend that backfired. And since the two 'witnesses' were over 18 and admitedly in the backyard with the under age drinkers, why have they not been cited for Contributing to the Delinquincy of Minors?

Yeah, you're right. Good parents should let their kids go drinking somewhere else where they can't be supervised. What a joke. You people are insane if you think that keeping your child sheltered and not helping them through the growing up process will keep them from drinking or participating in other similar activities. Way to go! Push your child towards sneaking around and going to shady places to drink so you can say "not under my roof!" Please, feel good about yourself at your child's disposal. High Schooler's are going to drink, they are going to try new things, you want them to come to you for advise, or would you rather they be afraid to ask you questions?

They are having the nannies lie under oath so that no one "important" gets charged with perjury. Class acts.

If the law entered his yard w/o permission, then they should toss evidence. Regardless of weather Trudeau is guilty or not..there is a right and wrong way to do things. If the police want us to obey the law, they must do the same.

Tom Griswold's nanny, Steve Hilbert's nanny, Damn Jack that sure is a classy crowd you invited to attend a gathering of impressionable teenagers. You sure do maintain a a full Rollo-Dex of the hillbilly elite of the city. Did you invite Henry Lee Summer as well ?

On a previous episode, Steve's backstabbing board of directors kicked him out of his cool house and Tomisue might have to go back to work... Everyone has a nanny at the party. Who's watching the kids? Stay tuned Indiana. We're heading for sweeps week!

No matter how much you all may think that Trudeau was wrong (innocent until proven guilty???, we do have a Constitution that forbids "unlawful search and siezure." If the police did not have a warrent or the homeowner's permission, the case will have to be thrown out. Small town cops ought to learn the law before they try to enforce it.

Do you think the Nannies were told what to say? You don't think they would "lie" about anything, do you?
Come on judge, do you want to call them credible witnesses? Pay me enough Jack and I will say that I was at the party and what happened and so forth. Get the point Judge?

I wish the headlines and reporting about this would stop focusing on the fact that for part of his life, Trudeau played for the Colts.

How about an opening line that states, "Zionsville parent says police did..." Put the focus where it belongs: on parental misdeeds, not on the Colts.

This situation has ZERO to do with the Colts or Trudeau's Colts experience. It has EVERYTHING to do with his bumblings as a parent and his failture to own up to his responsibilities.

It so sad to see this ex-quarterback stoop so low. He was smart enough to finally figure out that he was guilty, so they had to go to every lawyer's plan B. How can we get the evidence thrown out?

I applaud the Whitestown Police Officers for doing their job and putting with scum like Jack Trudeau. Keep up the great work Officers Chris Nelson and Jeremy Fargo.

This motion will fail. A person can give consent to enter a private premises if the person acted in such a way as to grant permission for the entry. That action may be express or implied. The Indiana Court of Appeals has said, [A]n express consent is not a requirement for a valid consent search. The circumstances surrounding the search may demonstrate that the party involved implicitly gave consent, by word or deed. Ackerman v. State, 774 N.E.2d 970, 975 (Ind.App. 2002)(quoting State v. Jorgensen, 526 N.E.2d 1004, 1006 (Ind.App. 1988). A person may grant consent simply by doing an act requested by a police officer. Earls v. State, 489 N.E.2d 516 (Ind. 1986); Cato v. State, 396 N.E.2d 119 (Ind. 1979).

To echo the previous poster, why *does* it matter who the two ladies nanny for? Why is that part of this story? Why would their employers (Tom Griswold and the others) want their names connected to this story if they aren't directly involved? Seems more like tabloid journalism than "real" journalism. But beyond that, why is the the local media so completely fixated on this Trudeau story? You'd think he'd killed eight dogs and gambled the way it's being over-covered.
