Why are they not releasing any statements from the husband? He's been in jail for a while now, and NOT A WORD from him, but as soon as the actuall killers confess, it's comes all out?
Also, if they have had the key since October of 2006, I wonder why they waited so long? Something just doesn't seem right?. I'm not defending anybody here, it just seems strange to me the way everything is coming out about this situation

MAYBE, just maybe, he hasn't said anything, DUH! This guy is a scared, worthless piece of s**t. He set this up and now his so called "friends" are rolling over on him. You know, the "Hey, I ain't takin' the fall for this, he told me to do it", defense.

Maybe Toby Payne gave the key to this guy last year with the intent to kill his wife, but changed his mind or chickened out. The hired killer never gives the key back and in April, decides to go looking for some money to score drugs and ends up killing the two? Now he's saying Payne told him to do it all along.

It all just seems fishy and anytime you start dealing with scum-bag druggies or low-life stalkers, who the hell knows what the real story is going to be.

Fry them both and save the good state of Indiana the cost of housing their worthless a$$es for the next 50 years.

Or maybe Payne didn't have the money to pay them until he got his tax return? That could have been his down payment, with the balance due when insurance proceeds came. It will be interesting to see how much he paid them, that's for sure. Loser thug Mexicans from Frankfurt probably work awfully cheap, especially in the winter, when there's no lawns to mow.

Duh -- you don't let any statements leak from the primary suspect until you've interrogated the other subjects. That way they don't have any idea what Toby is saying -- is he ratting them out, is he claiming ignorance? You grill the other suspects, see if they can corroborate their stories. It's already apparent here in this story that they've changed their stories once already. That's interrogation 101 stuff -- see who breaks first. Toby probably wants to run his mouth, but officials aren't letting him. Just a hunch. I should probably lay off the cop shows for a while.

Isn't it strange how we're all so quick to judge? This story definately has some missing pieces. I'm so sorry there are those of you out there, that would acutally want someone else to die. How does that make you above the murderer himself? God does not say a life for a life, he says turn the other cheek. This is between God and these individuals, regardless if they "fry" or not. These individuals were certainly not "friends" of Mr. Payne. I find it highly unlikely you would make close friends in jail. These are individuals he deemed stupied enough to carry something like this out. We'll see how right he was once the rest of the story is released.

Do yourself a favor and avoid looking any dumber than you alreay do, read all the stories in this case.
Here is a summary of things so far:
Toby Payne was convicted of arson in Boone County where he met his "new friends".
Just prior to the killings, Toby Payne was calling and leaving threatening messages to his soon to be exwife and son.
The scumbag was also stalking her.
She had asked for and got a restraining order against his dumba$$.
Their divorce was to be final real soon.
So, needless to say this Toby dude was a happy little camper and was so gleeful about things, YEAH RIGHT! He changed his mind, what an idiot you are.
I think that he met "his friends" that night and actually helped commit the murders. I can't wait to read that story

WOW, first off, you need to chill out and find something else better to do with your time besides comment on everyone's opinion. It's cool to have an opinion, but one is good enough. So basically, shut the "F" up.

Secondly, If you actually read my entire comment, I said, I was NOT defending anybody in this case, I just think the situation is strange. So once again, Shut up and leave everyone's opinion alone.

I guess you haven't figured out that Homeplace is Carmel.
This just confirms that you Carmel bashers out there don't know what you are talking about. Carmel is a very nice community. Just because there are a lot of people with a lot of money living there, doesn't mean it is exempt of problems like Indy or any other large town.

We need to bring back public hangings!
This kind of cold blooded premeditated murder is beyond our current court system. A message needs to be sent that this will not be tolerated in our city and that justice is swift and final.

its the perfect place to make 'friends' because it would in theory be a heck of a lot harder to trace them back to him. Waiting could be due to money or just distancing themselves from jail agin so noone would think to make the connection.

Where did you read or hear that the killer(s) confessed. All I have seen or heard says that Lucio and Duckworth have made statements saying that Delarosa(from Zionsville) did the killing of Rebecca & George. As for Toby Payne, he has only been in jail about 18 days. Man that is a long time. Now lets imagine, concerning the key, Toby Payne gives the "key" to these a$$holes and says: "I want you to kill my wife". Now here is the speculation: perhaps he then said: "I will call you when I am ready for you to do it". If you do not know all the facts (which is clearly apparent), then you all you can do is give an "opinion"?
When you make me shut the "F" up, I will. With that in mind: If you don't want your ignorant opinion questioned, don't post it. THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM. What the he!! is a "quesiton"?
