Why would they call his time "maxed out" when he hasn't served his whole sentence? If I am understand what "good time" is (good behavior) then how could he have accumulated that time if he has been in trouble atleast 5 times plus tried to escape? Each time an inmate does something seriously wrong their good behavior time should be erased and started over again. We do not want a horrible criminal like this out until atleast he is too old to hurt anyone anymore if at all. The time they are sentenced with for getting into trouble should be consecutive not along with their original time. The way they did it doesn't even count because he is already there.

As much as I (as most others) would like to have this piece of **** kept behind bars forever, the justice system will claim a defeat in and of itself if he is not released. Correct me if I am wrong, but a plea deal was given and the terms accepted. If the system now reneges on it's decision, then where does it stop?

A case for the death penalty if there ever was one? In my opinion... YES. But, for whatever reasons, this freak was allowed to plea to 2nd degree murder (mentally ill) and penalty imposed. At that time, Michigan had "good time" structured into sentencing and the judge (as well as the prosecutor) were fully aware of this. Are they not somewhat to blame?

What this a** deserved was (IMHO), an extremely slow lingering death. Yet as I stated earlier, this could open pandora's box in such that if the agreements made by and within our laws are not adhered to, where does it end? As much as justice has not been served to the victim and her family, nor will it be served if laws are allowed to be changed via spontanious public opinion. It's a sad situation either way.

This is a sick man . He did his time . Tony and his Cronies have no right to change the mans sentence after he had served his time . He was covicted and did the punisment that was asked for .
For those of you who want him in jail than you should pay the 80 thousand dollars a year to hold him or whatever it cost .

Let him out , Let God sort it out .

Can he come live by you? I don't want him anywhere near myself or my family.

Oh, and he was sentenced to a max of 40 years. What he has served is NOT his max sentence.

I do not care where he lives . I have the second amendment . Not afraid to practice it . But lets be real , the guy has been in jail and can not afford to buy the house down the road from me .

BTW , when he was sentence they elected to allow time off for good behavior . Other wise he would had been sentence to 40 years with-out chance for parole . We can not change the laws . He was tried and convicted , did his time .

Why donít you and your friends start a petition to bring back the Death Penalty . We pay enough tax money for these creeps . You people convict them under your laws then change as you go . B. S .

ok my opinion the guy needs to be put to death not let out if she couldn't have her life why should he be allowed his i live by the facility im scared he might go after me or someone i love or even the kids around there. 40 years or less is not good enough cause whos to say he won't do it again. what if it was one of your own kids would you want the murderer around so maybe he could come after you or one of your family for revenge? think about it ok hes got 5 counts of sexual plus escape how is that being good some goverment we got no wonder why we are in so much trouble no wonder why we are at war their locking up innocent people and letting murders go.we need to change our goverment. i thank you tony tague for helping better muskegon! and saving peoples lives before he might kill someone else like they say once a murderer always a murderer.

Time off for good behavior, and yet he had a prison break out charge and 5 incidents IN prison of a s.exual nature. That sounds like good behavior to me!

What would you and your friends call bad behavior then? Do you know that those who are sentenced to death penalties actually waste more state funds and resources? That is unless they decide not to go through all the appeals they are allowed. Otherwise they get to waste more money with the appeals process then just keeping them in prison for life. But I still wouldn't mind bring back the death penalty in Michigan. Right now as it statnds, the crime has to be committed of Federal property and the feds have to prosecute to get the death penalty to go through here.

ANd quite frankly it's BS that you would want him out, and then make the comment that he couldn't afford to live by you. So, it's a 'not in my backyard' situation with you. You want him let out but you don't want to deal with him. So what happens when he kills again? Would you actually agree to keeping him in prison longer this time?

everyone keeps saying he murdered someone. he did not just murder that woman. he put a GLASS BOTTLE IN HER AND PROCEEDED TO RAPE HER with it. she bled to death from the inside out. this man is sick. he needs to stay in prison. he also has other offenses from other women where he raped them with his FIST, front and back, AND he has a history of sexual violence from INSIDE the prison system. us paying for this man to be in the prison system is better than him being out on the streets.

I would not want this man to be my next door neighbor, or the neighbor to any of my children or grandchildren. Keep him locked up so that he doesn't have the chance to do it again. Good luck to Tony Tague.

....go ahead, let him out....perhaps he will try to break into a store in grand rapids...encounter a store owner with a gun....perhaps he will try to assault someone that has a ccw.....perhaps he may just be walking on the road side when someone veers to miss a deer/pothole/dog....either way, sounds as if he may be safer locked up....

So he did his time, and now he's all reformed and it's safe to put him back into society, right? I'm sorry, but someone with this man's history does not get better. Once a rapist killer, always a rapist killer. Those sick sadistic feelings he has against women are still there in the back of his head, and he will do it again. He should never be let out. For those of you that think he should go free, you are making a phenomenally huge mistake, and you lack good judgment. When he rapes or kills again, those of us that think realistically can all say we told you so. It's just sad that someone else is going to have to become his next victim in order to open the eyes of the know-it-alls who feel he should be let out. The state is going to regret this letting this animal out to repeat his past.

I can't believe you can get time knocked off your sentance for good behavior when you are in prison for murder. Let a lone the whole awful crime that this guy commited.
I agree, Michigan needs the death penalty.
