Mrs. D is an excellent teacher she tries to help the kids. I would rather have her than these old teachers that's this there waiting for retirement and could care less about teaching any more. What's your problem with her???

Mrs. Smith could careless about the students, she is just there to apply for grants and then recieve the grants and spend them on who knows what...and then at the end of the year we as parents have to pay for our kids to partictpate to Fun Day. And as for the older teachers I think they are wonderful, they have the skills to teach our kids! These young teachers just sit around with cell phone in hand texting or on facebook all day. I have seen it with my own two eyes. They are just there for a check and summer's off, that is it! They are to worried about their love lives or gossiping about the kids instead of taking the time out to help them.

This school needs a whole bunch of new teachers. Ones that want to teach are children there suppose to be the teachers not the parents. If I have to do it I want paid. They want the summers off.

I don't mind helping my children with homework at all, but when they are bringing 4 hours worth home to do in the evenings it really makes me wonder WHAT IN THE WORLD they are doing at school? I might as well home school!

The homework is excessive I have kids in egjhs now and they don't have that much homework. I thought something was wrong and I went to the school. It turns out they do most of their work in class IMAGINE THAT. Its easier now even when they don't have homework they have time to work on some of their weaker areas its great. Mrs. Defibaugh was the only teacher that seemed to care about teaching and not giving the kids 4 hours of homework. I think it shows that the teachers are not doing there job and I understand its hard work but they still need to be held accountable.

i always said this when i was in school, and it still applies now. if a teacher cant do teach the lessons in eight hour days, five days a week, nine months out of the year, then they are doing something wrong. each child should work on thier problem areas and study for tests at home. we try to stay in as many extracurricular activities as possible, and we dont need busy work every evening. it only burns them out.

first off about the homework....yeah its too freakin much, my daughter does sports and doesn't have time to do all her homework and this is an every night thing. and in stead of her teacher taking her aside and speaking to her about it she outs her infront of the entire class and says, "do u think it would be possible for you to turn your homework in one day?" although she has straight A's, which goes to show me the homework isn't even being graded for a grade. and my daughter told her she has practice and doesn't have time to do her homework all the time and her response was "ol well". so i asked my daughter if any of the other kids that are in the same sport are turning all their's in and she said no and the teacher says nothing to them....but they r also the "popular kids".

My daughter had Mrs. Miller last year and loved her. I came in a few times to help out with stuff like the Halloween party and she seemed great. She was nothing but nice to me and the children in her class. Sounds like someone just got ahold of some sour grapes. Has your child had her or are you just talking like that because you have something against her?

Of course she is not going to act like that in front of you! She is going to put on the "I am so sweet to your children act." I do not have anything against her as a person I have never known her outside of the school setting, but to see her as a teacher not very impressive! I used to volunteer at the school a lot and EVERY time I would see her she was sitting on the sink in her classroom and screaming her head off! And if you walk in that school most teachers will not speak to you unless they are made to! Including Mrs. Smith, she will walk right passed and never say a word!

I think the problem here is the 99% of you have no clue what goes on in that school with these teachers and others who help run the school. ALL of these teachers young, old, man, or woman are WONDERFUL!!! Yes teachers sometimes raise voices....BUT so do we as parents when needed!!! And as for mrs miller, gurley, and mrs D...ours have had children in all 3 of their classes at some point and not only did my children love them...I loved them as well. I think you all need to take a closer look at what these teachers deal with every day and the time they put in to help our kids a d stop bashing the entire school and it's staff! Focus on the great they do not the one thing you heard they did wrong! Grow up and act like adults!!!!!
