I don't think it is the Mayor who needs to go.we need to get the crooks on City Council. All employees of the city are supposed to take ethics classes. I hope it includes council. Maybe Bruce will learn it is unethical for him to be selling anything to the city and also now with our new Maintenance supervisor it is unethical for him to take any of his departments vehicles to Old White Motors. But I bet they still do. But hey council hired someone who didn't even meet the requirements they had listed in the paper.
just sayin

Ithink we need all new faces in the city council. All we hear is about the mayor. This town needs a real change.Same old, crap all the time.Ever time you read the news something else going on.Why dont they do something good for the town[like some new stores, make main street come alive for Christmas like it was when i was a kid.White Sulphur looks better than any towns close to us ,and we have good parking also but we are just dead on main street.

I just sit through city counsel meeting and the only thing they care about putting the city under. And the mayor was not even at the meeting so we see who Is running the show. They are trying to pass this new ordinance so they can benefit from it and the peopled spa city will pay dearly for it. The thing that burns me is they don't even ask public what they want our the major issues at hand like the drug problem around this town. And by the way I'm running for mayor.

What ordinance is that? Didn't get to make it. Also we have a new city maintenance supervisor who wants to do away with recycle, yard waste, only have trash pickup 4'days a week and cut the crew to 4 then hour shifts.

the mayor will never get re-elected. the streets have not been repaired from the water lines being put in! so what if Hanna takes dept vehicles to old white? we have bigger problems than this!
wss council goals are not to put the city under. good grief! council members LIVE in the town, why would they want to destroy it?
and Mr smith, what do you mean they don't ask the public what we want? we are the ones who elect them!
and the only way wss downtown will improve is if the freakin Bowlings who own so many of the EMPTY buildings start getting monthly FINES for having empty storefronts. better to have renters in them than to pay $$$$ to wss city for having empty stores.

Why worry about where the vehicles go? Well lets see the mayor had been Drug through the mud for ethics violations. What makes council any better? It doesn't! Bruce Bowling needs to be first to go. A citizen puts his hand up to ask a question and gets told to put his hand down and shut up! That proves the citizens don't have a voice. We elect them then they look out for themselves. The council needs cleaned out and members put in that car about our town.

Either to Levi Masters or WhiteSulphur Auto repair across from Stop In. Or better yet, hire a mechanic with small engine experience and keep the vehicles and equipment maintained. Then you aren't paying an outrageous price for labor or markup on parts.

What's wrong with Old White? I have taken my car to them for years. Steve and his guys are very nice. They do a good job and seem very fair.

I didn't mean to imply that anything is wrong with Old White. Just that everyone wants to point fingers at the Mayor for ethics violations and everyone else is just as guilty. Read state code on ethics. It is very interesting and shines a new light on things. Every city employee is required to do ethics traning. I just hope that includes council.
