Well the reason WSS was saved from the big storm was the officials wouldn't know how to decide on what to do anyway.

Since they're moving trick or treating to NOVEMBER, guess I'll be handing out turkey legs and cranberry sauce instead of candy and popcorn balls....

The community is talking about kids and trick or treating. If you don't want this just turn your porch light off and you won't be bothered. Stop bringing everyone down to your level.

It's called a 'sense of humor.' Get one. And, consequently, Halloween isn't just about kids and candy; it's about TRADITION. There isn't a masked serial killer on the loose; it's cold and rainy. In my opinion, they should've left the schedule as is, and if kids didn't wanna go out (or their parents didn't wanna take them) so be it. More candy for the brave and the bold. Kudos to them :)

i agree with you. when i was a kid they didn't reschedule halloween for cold weather. halloween in november is just silly. like you said, tradition. i could understand if the storm had turned out to be as bad as they was saying but come on a little cold weather and we cancel halloween..??? when did the world turn in to a bunch of sissy's.

Last I heard the state is still under a State of Emergency, which means only essential personnel are to be out on the roads. Also just because it isn't bad where you are doesn't mean it isn't elsewhere. Now with that being said wth is the big deal with moving it to Saturday so ALL the kids can enjoy trick or treating. Grow up people and be the adults you all claim to be, I think there is probably something much more important you all can find to argue about.

GVG...seems you are a quite the flip-flopper on your opinions. So which is it, a good idea to have it on Saturday or "tradition"?

Lewisburg, White Sulphur Springs and Ronceverte have all rescheduled trick or treating for Saturday November 3rd from 6-8 pm. Lewisburg tho is on the condition the State of Emergency has been lifted.

GVG just loves to stick her nose in where it doesn't belong. I would much rather it be on Saturday. And I have kids and would know better.

I don't have kids. However, I DID dress up TODAY, as it IS Halloween, and we gave out candy at my workplace :)

Not ALL the kids. WSS Elementary school's football team has their Superbowl on Saturday, so all the players, cheerleaders, and fans aged 12 and under will miss out.
