AEP trucks in Mercer County are null to be found. Power outages since Friday and AEP trucks from this county are leaving and going to White Sulphur Springs to insure that power is available and will remain available during the Greenbrier Classic. I suppose people are less important than a golf outing. I hope while your enjoying a ice, cold beverage and have a cool room to cool down after watching idiots hit a ball around and try to put them in holes have an realization that ignorant people like Steve Obrien and Dave Kirby from FM102.3 says your event is needed "to keep the mood up." My mood would greatly improve if this golf match and the big shots cared more about people in our state getting power than some golf game. On the priority list it appears that people because they are not spending a fortune in dollars are far less important than the a golfing event that could of been cancelled and rescheduled. I hope that your event is filled with hell here on earth because ranking a sporting game over thousands of people in the state without power. For the governor or the one that gave the orders for the AEP trucks to be relocated to the Greenbrier Classic, I hope your hell here on earth starts now.

I don't know about the trucks but The Greenbrier Hotel had electric before anyone. I keep hearing everyone to stop blaming Jim Justice but no one sees how important the PGA is to him. He asked for the community to come together and help clean the golf course. I think he forgot about all the damage around West Virginia. If the community was so important he could allowed worker's to use his equipment to assist in faster service. I agree with your comment and is a sad situation. I keep looking at the video clip the news played to see if that is his personal truck or a power truck from another company.

In difficult economic times and many people trying to make a living, I appreciate that our state needs the revenue from such a venue as the golfing event; however, people all over the state are dealing with situations related to power outages. It shows who has the pull in the state when a state senator stops by at a local store trying to stay open via a generator and tells the owner that the AEP trucks had been ordered to go to the Greenbrier. I have yet to see one AEP truck in my area and I live off from the interstate and not up a hollow. Notice the players playing the golf and all the interest this has brought WV to only be soiled by placing a sporting event over peoples' well being. If it were me playing in this sporting event, I would decline to play until everyone has power back in this state and humans are put above golf. It's strange when you call numbers over emergency response units and are told that the stores are open and you can get water and ice. It took 1 and half hours to drive 25 miles to get water and ice and they were out of ice and only had small bottles of water. Many act as if this is no big deal and even advise one to get a generator. I am on a list of 10 people to get a generator and it was suppose to be here today, but failied to arrive and it will be until Thrusday if it shows then. Are we going to have to wait until the golf game is over before we get power in our area? Anybody at the Greenbrier games, needs to have their heads flushed down the toilet, because your just like the manure going down the drown for participating in an event when the state of WV is delcared to be under a state of emergency and having power trucks pulled from areas so a golfing event could happen while thousands do without power and estimated days until restoration. What's next? Humans are second class citizens compared to golf. Come to WV this week and see that golf viewers of the Greenbrier have power while others die from heat strokes and have other health problems because of no water and no electricty. Put that Tiger or Phil. Justice take this to the bank. The money that you earn this go around will be sadly losed because God will not tolerate your greedy, inconsiderate, lack of morals, etc, cold, non-functioning heart and allowing elderly to suffer in unbearable heat while you get your 10 minutes of fame. Fame to fortune will go up in smoke because too many people are outraged and this is not the end of this story.
@Hellonwheels= There comes a time when more can be done and said in numbers and the squeaky wheel gets the attention. Please have people contact Manchin and other leaders and let them know this behavior is unacceptable and don't participate in any of the events and the Greenbreir can become a dormant ghost town with only people from out of state supporting this ant, Justice, in the scheme of things.

The town clown has decided to speak. Juggle your balls some more because your out of your league when you start saying golf is more important than human's well being. Millions of dollars in no way hold more value than human life or well being. I suppose the US President and the WV Governors State Of Emergency doesn't apply to you either. Take your talk show advice and stick where the sun doesn't shine. Go back to your tiddly winks and comic books. Oh, I forgot you like put put golf.

Replies such as yours; "are you mad bro?" are just the prelude to the ignorance that is shown from people like you for equating human's well beings to a golf game. People are not getting medical treatments because places are without power. Dialysis and chemotherapy treatments have been displaced leaving people without medical help, but God forbid you think it's about not having air conditioning. Your ignorance is only one fine example why this state has gone to hell in a hand basket. Many have extensive damage done to them because of the wind and need power to start clean up. It comes down to this basically. Power was given priority to Greenbrier Area due to a golf game regardless of how many people without electricity. By stating earlier in your response that PGA was more important because of millions as you stated then that only shows how you don't value human life. It's like that with your generation where entitlement is used on an hourly basis thinking I should have this and I deserve this and I think the government should give me this, but you fail to see the bigger picture. You life along with all the other people that are without power, are so much more important than a PGA. You life is worth more than millions and you deserve love and respect and to me a human life has no numerical dollar sign because it can't be replaced. Yes, I was offensive, but there's more to this than complaining or needing AC. Please go look in the mirror and realize that no amount of money could every replace you.

The power company is just that a business. They approach it from a business perspective even in a time like this. The first places to have electricity is where they are losing the most money.$$$$$

the point that your missing entirely is that no matter how much you complain your tiny voice will not be heard.. I'm without ac, water supply-side but you don't see me on here ranting about how they should fix it, you complaining is about as pointless as a human trying to carry conversation with a yard animal.. Yes you come off strong an yes you do have a valid point, an all I was doing was stating facts.. Which you fail to comprehend. This Pga an the greenbroer an Jim justice though you may hate them all an never ever like any of it but it helps our town just like justice has tried to do, he may come off as a fat asshole who dosent care but look at all that he has done.. I'm not taking up for him but I am trying to get you to.see the big picture.. we all are suffering, but the Pga didn't cause this disaster a storm did, which is something else you need to realize. NO AMOUNT OF COMPLAINING IS GOING TO HELP. THEY DO NOT CARE. Justice has invested millions in this town I for one am thankful for everything he has done. Donate 6 million dollars to the boyscouts, or make our basketball team when a championship all these things prolly mean nothing to you, but you do need to find another scape goat.. your debate has more holes than a bag of grapes from Foodlion.. plz sit an soak this all in.

No holes in my comments. You just full of assumptions that I am one small voice. No point needed to be made. Justice is a pile of manure for not caring enough about people and only about his million dollar venture. I see the bigger picture. Anyone that throws money your way you feel the need to give them cedit, but the basketball team could of won the championship without his name attached and boy scouts will continue without his name. You give a great deal of credit to a big pile of stink that could care less about humans and only wanted PGA to function at any cost to humans or amount of money. Did your caps get stuck because your vermin is spewing, but after this post your name doesn't do you justice because you have no answers. Why you were on line complaining, I had a meeting with Manchin and also have give interviews to local news and media outlets. So my small voice will be heard and what have you done, but told the world that you value golf over human's well being. Oh, I gave you propt on the news at eleven that you had no answers only devalued human life and that golf according to your opinion was more valuable than human life. There's no debate when you have human life verses golf's value. The only holes will be my disappearance after this post because you have already proven to show that people can be bought just as Jim Justice turned your head with his try to do good, but the truth is that basketball players and boy scouts will be around and doing well without the looks of this pile of stink. Pull the plug AEP and show JJ that his empire can melt just like the rest of us. One final think never assume that the person that your speaking with has no money, status in the community, or has no value. Goodbye Answers. A person can only tolerate so much ignorance in one day such as yourself.

Answers: I was for one cleaning my yard for debris from the storm and checking on my neighbors, so it wasn't about having ac. It does help to voice concern because we shouldn't be treated no less because we don't have the wealth like others. People should know how others our treated. Can you tell me what Jim Justice has done? It is nice of him to donate 25 million to the Boy Scout, but how does that help the community? It is nice to be listed as champions in basketball but once again how does this help. He comes in donates a new gym floor and automatic a coach. His daughter wasn't good for any other teams, so he found a way for her to play. He pays everyone off with money and don't care how ir effects people.

Princeton Resident I do understand what your saying. As I agreed with your first post. It is nice to see others fight for what they believe in. I have seen so many people complain about something and never do anything about. Your starting off the best way. I didn't agree how resident's were treated and he put golf before humanity. He will own everyone sooner or later which is sad because everything he does is for his reputation. When he started to remodel and build the casino, he used out of state worker's instead giving the locals a job. He fires dedicated employees for lower rate workers. The hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc should had electric first. You keep fighting because I clearly understand what your saying.

Let others think he is such incredible man until something like this happens again and effects them more than one way. On facebook I have seen several people angry with Jim Justice and took concern to The Greenbrier Classic website.

I found this on a website and it clearly states that Jim Justice has his power on before anyone else, so that proves he lied on national television stating The Greenbrier never lost power.

The benefits of life without power by Melissa Lee

Were close to The Greenbrier where as I write Tiger Woods, Tom Watson, Phil Michelson, et al, are enjoying the hospitality of the hotel and participating in the third annual Greenbrier Classic. So it was a given that Jim Justice, CEO and owner of the hotel, would make sure that The Greenbrier (and, therefore, its neighbors) would have electricity as soon as possible.(Thanks, Mr. Justice). Many folks I talked to were upset that The Greenbrier got its power back before they did. This is understandable. Except the fact that the hotel had 1200 guests mostly families and golf professionals who are contributing to the economic future of the hotel and the state of West Virginia. The WV Department of Tourism had invested over $1 million in this tournament, and because of the revenue that it brings into the state, it is only logical that power would be restored there first.

NO EXCUSE!

1) Why aren't you complaining about the electric company? They didn't have to show favortism.
2) I would bet Manchin and Tomblin are both at the PGA this week.
3) Good luck with your complaints.

I don't have power, you don't have power neither does 1.5 million other people. Someone is bound to get it first, but because The Greenbrier did its just a gateway to bitch and complain. I don't understand you people!

Duece33 your exactly right about the electric company, but for the record I have completed a complaint and it will be sent to Public Service Commission of WV. I will also send letter to the senator's.

Charleston Gazette reported " The Greenbrier Resort is with power after losing it Friday night, regaining it early Saturday morning and losing it again Sunday morning. There are backup generators on site, just in case." The locals of WSS did not get power until later that night. I have heard several people defending him stating his was using generator's but this article clearly states he never used them. So how did he get electric back so soon before anyone else?

Do you people realize that there isn't a switch that just turns the power right back on? There are thousands of lines that feed from different places, not just a couple.

Do you not get it at all? The point we're trying to make is that The Greenbrier Hotel got electric back before anyone else just because of the PGA tour. They had the lap of luxury while everyone else was scrambling for gas, water, food or whatever important thing they needed. While The Greenbrier was catering to the important people others were fighting to feed their children, help the elderly, donate time to assist other and so much more. The local hospital had to shut down and move patience and that move will come out of their pocket or the imsurance. I bet it would be different if your child became so ill that you had to take it to the ER only to find out it was closed. So now you have to find another hospital but don't know how the travel will be with all the debris or maybe you didn't have the gas to go because their was no power. Do you think Jim would let you bring your child to the Greenbrier Clinic. We all know the answer to that. Your mother is on a feeding tube at the local nursing home and the building has limited resources. How would you like to have that call in the middle of the night saying "I am sorry your mother died because we didn't have power to continue to run the machines". This is the point everyone is trying to make. Human life should of came first. While everyone is making smart comment's think about that person who could of went into cardiac arrest because they had no power to use their oxygen and the reserve ran out. What about the little kid that needed to use his/her nebulizer to help with breathing. The elderly women sitting in her home while it is 95 degrees inside and she has no assistance.
