They didn' hit a flea, idiot! It's "flee." And these kind of people need to wear light clothing so that they can be seen. He evidently wasn't smiling or didn't have his eyes open. If so he probably wouldn't have been hit!

To whoever you are from BOWIE, You incosiderate bastard!! It doesn't matter how the word is spelled, what matters is that this person hit this pedestrian and left the scene. I am pretty sure you would feel a lot differently if this was you or your child. No matter what he was wearing or whether or not he was smiling or not, Right is right and wrong is wrong. The right thing to do was to stop and that didn't happen.

The unfeeling person from Bowie My prayers are being sent out for you and your family to think you have no concern for this young man's family and friends. This wonderful young man was a class mate and god brother to my granddaughter. How do you think his family, friends, classmates, teachers and friends feel? Let's pray that this or no other kind of tragedy happens to you or someone that you love. I hope that you aren't the one who hit him.

WHOWOULDHAVETHUNK you should be ashamed of yourself. What do you mean they couldn't have been SMILING or MUST HAVE HAD THEIR EYES CLOSED - you must be insinuating that the person is a black person you stupid idiot. GOD REST HIS SOUL AND I PRAY FOR THE FAMILY AND HIS TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES.

I attend Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr., High School, and even though I didn't know Calvin, my deepest sympathies go out to his family.

And for whoever was ignorant enough and had the audacity to say it was not a hit and run, it was because it was all over the news, and they read the news report at my school the next morning on the morning announcements.

It's sad to read such narrow minded responses to the death of a person. Some people are not parents or have that responsibility some only have a pet on a leach. Some of our youths are out in the streets at all times of the night and are not tought the old school way of being in the house before the street lights come on. On my way home from work today on livingston rd four youths walking in the middle of the street. Why??????????
