How can anyone damage or destroy a cemetary. That is a place you go and honor the people who has passed on. I hope they find those punks that did it. What a shame.

What they need to do is to take them to a cemetary of the people they have lost and make them kick over the HeadStones.Maybe this will bring a wake up call.

Three things...

First, it is very important to identify the vandals. A $500 reward is being offered.

Second, we have to figure out what it will require to repair to our best ability those stones that were knocked over and broken.

Third, sadly, with all the work that Greenville is doing to promote its historic district, security will have to be imposed in a manner that the cemetery is protected 24/7. Curfew, cameras, and stiff fines for vandalism is the only answer.

Other than the police, does Greenville have citizens involved in a crime watch program?

i don't know why people want to be stupid and knock over other peoples graves number 1 no one in their right mind should knock over a tombstone i mean would you think it's right if i was to go up and just knock one down then run away i'd rather just skip town and never come back if i'd done something that dumb
we need to find these people and put them in jail

How in the world are you going to have security at a small cemetery such as that one? No way could they pay someone to be there 24/7. Most of the monuments are damaged beyond repair. They are so thin and old, they can not be fixed.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Besides, people like this don't care about things such has history and family.

I have heard that the Greenville Police Department has made several arrest on the vandels and that Joe Deason was one. It makes since that he would do this kind of thing because hes like his mom, worthless. I am proud of the Police Department and would like to say THANK YOU from all the people in Greenville.

You have given no leads nor names of anyone. How is it that you are still right and I am wrong? Ben is the one who got everyone together to fix the cemetery. I am sure if you call the police dept., they would just tell you whatever you want to know about any on going case.

Ben is a great man although he doent handle police cases.. The Police Department is the ones that solved this case and found the vandels. The reason there are no names is because they are juveniles. I talked to ben myself and he stated he has not told anyone that they have not found out who did the crime. So you are the one that need to get your story straight. Great Job Greenville Police.

Ok, so I called yesterday (police dept.) to see if anyone had been arrested or if they had any leads. They said they were close to making an arrest on 2 people, but no one had been taking in yet. I take back my statement about being no suspects, but at the end of last week, my information was the lastest I had heard.
