'Gifted and Talented' label weighed
Montgomery County school officials say they have not decided to remove the "Gifted and Talented" label for high-achieving students, though a non-labeling program in place at two schools is being considered.

the problem is that not all children/students TEST well. if this GT "label" is based on results from standardized testing - it truly isn't reflective of the "gifts" and "talent" those students (that don't test well) offer in a class environment, it's very enriching when students are exposed to many types of learning.
