Truth in sentecing is only wasting taxpayers dollars because it is not being applied correctly. Once a inmate does his minnimum he or she should be released on parole without the paroleboard interveaning with the the judgement imposed by the courts. Due away with the paroleboard!!!

MICHIGAN & Prisoners needs a "Billion $ Bailout!"If a prisoner does their time, and or does it with deserving "good time/earned time" let them out! It is not the right of every state personnel who feels that the crime doesn't fit the time, to control their out time. When their time is served and they have lived up to the standards, save the STATE and FEDERAL FUNDED programs MONEY, let them out!

Yes the Truth in Sentencing Law should be repealed. The state of Michigan is going broke and cannot afford to house all of these prisoners. They have cut all of their programs to rehabilitate these prisoners because they are so overcrowded and cannot afford them. The recidivism rate has gone up since the law went into effect so evidently it is not working. The longer we lock them up without any kind of rehabilitation the worse they will be when they get out. The Michigan prison system needs to be completely revamped. It is in a horrible mess.
